I had the pleasure of taking care of two very sweet cats. Teddy and Dora truly live a cat's life of leisure. Barbara and Leslie had a beautiful catio built just for their cats to keep them safe from eagles, coyotes and raccoons. Each cat has prime viewing spots from their condos and special hiding places. Barbara went above and beyond by letting me stay at their home for four additional days because I was able to get a ticket to the Hardy Plant Study Weekend held in Sidney, with garden tours in Victoria and Sidney. She didn't want any compensation except garden advice. The weather was ideal the entire stay. I did keep tabs on watering her garden beds and containers. Barbara and Leslie were very nice and are devoted cat parents. I think it is important that their cat sitters be truly cat people. Teddy really loves attention. He will reward you by visiting you in the bedroom when it's time to go to bed. He slept on the bed a few times. Dora was not quite an attention hog like Teddy. She slept later in the morning in her closet hiding place. Once she warms to you, she'll spend several minutes accepting your pets. She really likes to be brushed. Feeding them and keeping their boxes scooped was very easy. My husband joined me for the last four days. Teddy warmed up to him pretty quickly. I think Dora accepted him by the time he left. Barbara's home is very comfortable. The bed and linens were great. I loved the shower. I ate most of my meals out but there are good grocers close by. An interest in gardening and paying attention to watering containers and the raised beds would be especially helpful. I really enjoyed exploring Sidney and the Saanich Peninsula. My husband and I visited Nanaimo for the first time. It was also fun to be there on the occasion of Canada Day. What a contrast to our July 4 celebration in Everett, WA. We heard no fireworks leading up to Canada Day or afterward. My return home to our neighborhood in the evening of July 4 was full of illegal fireworks and smoke. Thanks Barbara and Leslie for letting me take care of Teddy and Dora. I'll be sending you some gardening recommendations.
sitting Benji was so sweet! he is a lovely dog that likes to cuddle and lay close to you when you’re not taking him out. Laura’s apartment is really nice, we had a perfect stay! the house has all you need and it is close to all transportation, we were waking up super early to go to our yoga classes and had no problems commuting from one place to the other. we also appreciated communication with Laura which was PERFECT and clear, she is available and appreciates updates while also answering to any question. we were a couple and quite fit to go around with Benji, he does pull a bit on the leash so being fairly strong at the beginning is useful, it takes a walk to get the gig and understand how to move so it really wasn’t a problem (also because he is so adorable). we are so thankful and really enjoyed our time in London and doing our thing - we were here for a yoga study trip - while hanging out with Benji and resting at home. ❤️
Ane is so friendly and accomodating. Her home is beautiful and located in a lovely suburb. The pets are absolutely gorgeous, well trained and such a pleasure to care for. Thank you so much for having us!
Cami and I had a blast together! She is such a sweetheart and cuddle bug. Mike was very inviting and provided me with all the details needed. Would recommend to anyone visiting San Francisco.
This was our first sit for Chris and Christine and things couldn't have gone smoother. We arrived the night before their departure and we were made very welcome. Christine made us a lovely meal which was followed by good company into the evening. The dogs are lovely and each have they're own character. Toby can be a bit grumbly but definitely doesn't want to miss out on any fuss going. Meghan gives you lovely howling greeting with her ball in her mouth. Bonny loves a fuss and will often put her paws up on the chair and try to lick your face whilst Corrie is the excitable old lady of the bunch who can't hear a thing. Kip the horse is friendly and easily looked after. We enjoyed the fresh produce from the poly tunnel and apples from the trees. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we look forward to seeing them again next year.
We had the pleasure to sit for Stanley(Stan the man) Patton(Patpat) and Sally(salsal or as my husband called Sally Jessy). Stanley is a big old heart running around and loves to play ball. Patton was a follower which meant being by my side and then salsal aka little bit who could give the best snuggles! They are absolutely fun to take care of and will have you laughing especially Sally running with her big ole ears!!!! Jill and Brian have a lovely home in a great location and we loved our stay there!! We even explored around some on our bikes, electric bikes are great on the hills around there. I would absolutely sit for these guys again!!! Left a piece of our hearts there❤️
