Emily and Greg were our first housesitters and it was a wonderful start for us. They went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable with us and even more important, that Rebel was comfortable with them. I was fortunate they lived in the next neighborhood over so they stopped by several times to walk with Rebel and me and the day before our trip, Emily came by to take him out alone to ensure there were no issues with a stranger coming into the home while we were gone. In addition, Rebel is a large rescue dog and, although he is usually well behaved, none of us were sure how he would be when we left as we adopted him during the pandemic and we have been home pretty much 24/7. In addition, she had to attempt to keep Rebel from consuming too many cicadas which was a chore in itself. All went perfectly. Our house was left tidy and she even had to clean up some things that Rebel got into - he loves pillows, tissues and plastic bags. This was by no means her fault, we left them where he could get them.....and he did:) Emily communicated with me by text daily and we talked about how it went once we returned home. We came home to a happy dog which of course made us very happy and more comfortable with doing this again. Feel free to reach out to me if you need more information about this housesit. I would be delighted if they were able to housesit for us in the future and recommend them without reservations.

I had a great time at Vanessa’s! The chickens were fun and the property was very nice— a very unique experience in a good location. 💕

The stay at Alex and Stephan's was incredible! Otto and Dieter are some of the sweetest cats I've ever met, Otto definitely being the cuddliest one EVER! We would never grow tired of playing with them or even just look at them - can't even begin to say how cute they are 🥰

The level of communication was excellent - Alex put a lot of care in crafting all the instructions and info we might need beforehand.

The house - OMG! Hands down one of the best places we've stayed in, the picture don't even really do justice. It's a spacious loft situated in Prenzlauer Berg, one of the nicest neighbourhoods of Berlin, and you can really see that a lot of care was put into furnishing and decorating it (you'll appreciate it even more if you are a tech person!). For people who work from home, there are two workstations with monitors in the house, which was really great for us.

Thanks again Alex and Stephan, we hope to take care of Otto and Dieter again anytime in the future!

We've just finished spending a great 5 weeks with Tatu in Gex this summer. Craig details everything you need to know about Tatu in his profile, so there's not too much for us to add.

Tatu is very sweet and easygoing at home. He loves to be cuddled and brushed and can't get enough belly scratches. When out on walks, it's best to keep him at a distance from other dogs as he can feel a bit territorial if they get too close. That said, he does have two dog friends in the compound who he loves to play with. He loves going for long walks, jumping in the stream and will happily go along on hikes as well.

Fantastic experience overall.

This was a great (2-week) adventure of a sit for us in all senses and we loved it.

Amy and Brad were great. They very kindly invited us into their lovely home to stay with them a few days before they left, and they are a truly great couple and we hope they take us up on our offer to visit us in Spain (first time we ever invited houseowners to stay with us). We had plenty of training and information before they left on how to manage their furry and scaley family and also plenty of great tips on what to do in Brooklyn and in the neighbourhood. And invited us to have supper with them one night. So truly grateful for all that.

Their home is comfortable, quaint and cosy with all mod cons and a great backyard/garden with jacuzzi and bbq. We felt very much at home. The bedrooms are on the lower floor/basement which made for peaceful sleeping. No noise from traffic, subway etc. Our double bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

Forget Manhattan. Stay in Brooklyn. We loooooooooved it. And loved the area around the house (Carroll Gardens, just south of Cobble Hill). Only 2 subway stops away from the madding crowds of Manhattan. A short bus ride, or walk, away from the great area of Red Hook (go to Sunny’s for some great live bluegrass music). A busride/2-3 stop subway ride or 30 min walk to Dumbo. Would definitely advise going to the Brooklyn Tabernacle gospel church on a Sunday. Or if it’s a lovely day, it’s a direct subway to Coney Island beach. Stay at this great house and become a Brooklyner for a week or two. Purrrfect…
Purrfect as I move on the four feline furries. These are pretty cool cats. You can tell they’ve received lots of TLC. The girls loooove a cuddle on your lap. Gourmet eaters (compared to my feline furries back home). We truly enjoyed their company. The only minor issue is that one of them, Baloo, has been ill for a while. Brad and Amy are looking for solutions to his tummy problems and I’m sure they’ll find one eventually. But none of the effects were of any bother. More than anything you just felt sorry for the poor guy.
The fish are easy as the tank is in great shape. Just required feeding.
As Brad and Amy, like us, are animal lovers, we also fed (on their request) a few other furry friends who came to visit their backyard. Great fun.
In all, a highly recommendable sit.

This is the sort of sit you dream about: outstanding location, lovely cat, Albert, and amazing couple to sit for - fun, great to chat with, full of living and action. Rosie is an excellent, imaginative photographer and her pics capture the magic of the countryside. 'Beautiful' doesn't even describe the amazing, panoramic views from the top floor living area. Albert is such a friendly, affectionate boy ... a true pleasure to look after and simple joy to chill out with; purrs delightfully when you stroke him. Gorgeous walking, running, cycling in area. The house itself is a warm, engaging environment - a special place to enjoy and relax. A sit similar to a delicious dessert ... leaves you wanting more
