Tracy was amazing. She took great care of our dogs, communicated well, and left the house in great shape. We can’t wait for her to watch the dogs again.

Sheila
We could not have had a better experience! We were at Sheila and Keith´s for two blissful weeks and would have happily stayed for much longer! Every bit was perfect: Pepper and Crumpet are not only loving and very snuggly, but incredibly well-behaved and a joy to look after. You will easily keep them happy if you dedicate some time to throwing them balls on the nearby field, snuggling them on the couch and taking them on some beautiful, beautiful walks around Moniaive. The house is just beautiful, we slept like babies and enjoyed the hot tub immensely - it honestly felt like being on holiday! We saw the sun come up and set on the Scottish countryside and enjoyed every second of it. There is a small shop and an Italian restaurant in town that we can wholeheartedly recommend, and we never tired of the walks around the house.
Sheila and Keith were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They were very accommodating when we asked them to return at an early time on the last day so that we could get home on time. It was always easy to get in touch with them, but rarely necessary outside of puppy pictures since they had taken great care in showing us around and leaving us with very useful tipps on where to go. We are very grateful to them for letting us stay!

Lorrie
Lorrie and Paul are lovely people and they have a beautiful home. They made me feel at home and took me to lunch and even grocery shopping before they left. Their dogs Ginger and Goldie have such friendly personalities. I wasn’t short of dog cuddles all night long and they were super easy to look after. The cat keeps herself to herself and is happy being fed and left to her own space. I enjoyed every minute of this house sit and would love to sit for Lorrie and Paul again.

Merrigan
This is a great sit which we highly recommend!

Merrigan and Wyndham are excellent hosts. We were fortunate to spend the evenings before and after the sit with them and really enjoyed their company and that of their two children.

The welcome guide is complete and communications were excellent throughout our housesit.

Boo is a gorgeous, gorgeous puppy! She is a lot of fun – affectionate and energetic. She will make you smile! There are several pleasant footpaths close by that we all enjoyed. We are especially fond of one trail we took Boo on, leading through woods and to scenic views across the countryside. You will need to keep a tight lead on Boo until you cross the main road, but after that it is beautiful.

Taking care of Razor and Snoopy was easy. We had never cared for a snake before, and it was fascinating.

Merrigan and Wyndham’s home is both lovely and comfortable. The kitchen has all the appliances you could want or need (food processor, KitchenAid, Aga, expresso maker, Thermomix, etc.). M&S Simply Food and Waitrose are within three miles. Or if you prefer to eat out, it is only a short drive to Henley and other beautiful towns along the Thames with great restaurants, shopping and wonderful river walks.

A lovely family, dog, home and location! What more could one ask for? We hope to return soon!

Kat
Our Stay at Kat’s adorable, comfy, peaceful farmhouse was nothing more than a week of pure therapy. Kat is truly kind and will make you stay comfortable and cozy. We had a car but only used it once to get to the store, it was too peaceful just being with the animals in this rural setting. Kat is willing to help you transport, get you a hop about car to grab groceries and get you settled. The instructions and animal routines are clearly written out and take just a bit to settle into. Kat walks you through it and stays in close contact throughout your stay. The train from Bordeaux is easy to access to help get you to the house.

You will need to know that this is what I would call a pretty animal intense stay. My husband and I did it as a team which made for it to be super enjoyable, one of my favorite sits so far. You need to be willing to feed the dogs 4 times a day on time with meds. The sheep are a delight, and require a therapeutic daily sweeping and cleaning out of the shed. The cats get fed, cuddled and watched after too. You could easily be a nomad and work from this awesome quiet setting, but you can’t run around and do other things. (Which you won’t want to because soaking in this rural setting is really what it is all about) The dogs like you to be with them most of the time hanging out on the oh, so comfy couches!

I hope we get the opportunity to come back to the south of France in this delightful, loving, homey sit. It was a joyful week filled with pet care, lots of long walks in the countryside, star gazing at night, a cozy fire, a comfy bed with a great soak bathtub and just about anything you could need in the kitchen to make for a fun stay in France.

The pets rule and rock this home—and we took to all of them. Thank you Kat for trusting us and allowing us this experience his on our journey. Thankful for our new friends in France.

Andrea and Dave gave good instructions about caring for all the dogs and cats. Care was easy and straightforward, and New Guy, Maggie, and Tressa were particularly sweet to hang out with. The house was very comfortable to stay in, and I particularly enjoyed the hot tub.
