Susan & Brent are A-MAZ-ING Housesitter’s! We leave due to the Florida heat in the summers & this is their 3rd year sitting for us. This year they went through HURRICANE IAN. Not only did they protect our grandCATS but they’ll watch over your house as if it’s there own. They dealt with not having electricity and water, Internet and TV. Waited for contractors and let them in (mitigation company was first to cut out Sheetrock and then dealt with noisy fans for DAYS). Took “things” OFF the walls then put them back on. Picked up debris out of yard, etc. Prior to the hurricane they brought in everything off the patio (& we have a lot of iron furniture & chairs to deal with) secured all potted plants in garage, took down a 200 lb statue so it wouldn’t break or go flying in 150 mph winds, kept us updated every step of the way and were helpful and friendly to our neighbors. They even thought to take up the landscape lighting so that it didn’t get lost or destroyed and put it back out after the storm passed. Utilities were out for nine days at the house and Brent and Susan cleaned out the refrigerator and the freezer. Prior to the hurricane and while way we decided to sell our home. We flew back and rented a car for 1 week (staying at the house while Brent and Susan were there) to take care of landscaping that needed to be done, cleaning out garage for epoxy floor installation, donations, etc. They worked with our realtor and open houses kindly and cooperatively. Before we arrived home they scheduled an appointment to have both cats nails freshly clipped. I really can’t say enough about both of them. And I’m sure they did even more we don’t even know about! That’s just them.
Daniel arrived after storms delayed his flight from Dallas. We were pleased that he came even though his wife Cathy remained home to care for a friend. Communication was great and our dog was happy to have a companion while we were away. Daniel’s previous exposure to Chicago made his adjustment easy. Recommend him to others seeking a reliable house sitter.
We were extremely lucky to be invited to Kate and Philip’s beautiful home in Berkshire to take care of CoCo. Communication with Kate was easy and we kept in touch via WhatsApp. Their home is grand and cosy with beautiful English gardens and should be on the front of a magazine! Walks are plentiful with some just at the exit from their garden. Nature is in abundance and we enjoyed watching the birds visit the feeders. We even spotted a woodpecker! The star of the sit was CoCo the cavapoo. She bonded with us straight away and she came with us on all our day trips. We took her to Greenham common, Hungerford canal and Pangbourne by the Thames in the car. She was well behaved in pubs too ! Coco is friendly , loving, easy and funny and we were sad to say goodbye to our new friend 🐾🐾 We give this Housesit 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thankyou Kate and Philip… maybe our paths will cross again!
