I loved looking after Lemmy, he’s an adorable companion, so easy and fun to look after. He’s got great recall, snoozes on car trips and is well behaved in a pub or café. At home he loves a cuddle and a bit of play and took a shine to my slippers 😊 Judy and Ben made me feel really welcome in their home. I loved that Judy and Lemmy took me out to show me their local walk when I arrived, ensuring that Lemmy and I were confident with each other. Judy was great at communicating before and throughout the stay & left some lovely snacks for us both to enjoy! I loved waking up to a gorgeous view of town and the hills, which can also be seen from the front room. Kendal town is an easy walk down and a more challenging return! And of course, it’s the gateway to the gorgeous Lake District. I had a great time admiring the wonderful autumnal colours in the area. Lemmy is a great tour guide! I would jump at that chance to hang out with him again.
Tim and Cindy were delightful hosts. We had slightly overlapping dates with another sit and they were very accommodating in this and ensuring our stay was a comfortable one. Minnie was one of the easiest pets we've looked after and quite the character - although she spent most of the day sleeping and minding her own business, she had a very quirky demeanor that was all her own, and we loved every bit of it! She was very low-maintenance, requiring being fed (she'd make sure you knew when it was dinnertime) and needed to be let out a few times a day. Otherwise she was perfectly content napping and getting the occasional belly scratch. The area was great as well with lots to do - Leavenworth is a 30-minute drive away, and there were plenty of restaurants, walks, and shopping within a 10-15min drive. We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain views from the house. We look forward to any future sits, or just any reason to catch up with Tim, Cindy, and Minnie!
We loved taking care of their pets. There is a nice trail nearby to walk the dogs. The home is lovely.
Very lovely cats!!
Dom and Lyndy are a lovely welcoming couple and couldn’t have asked for more accommodating hosts. They live in a really lovely home in a fantastic location, I would definitely happily housesit again. Their cat Topaz/ Meow is a real charmer and quite a character 😂. Super easy gig and would 100% recommend.
Gene and Linda were very accommodating and ensured we were comfortable while they were gone. We had a great experience house sitting for their two dogs. The dogs are very agreeable. Their property is semi-rural and is very beautiful and green. We would recommend anyone to house sit here and I guarantee a good experience.
