The house is not only beautiful but also very well-maintained, furnished which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Scruffy is so cute and she was an absolute delight to care for. It was clear that you've done a wonderful job of raising and training her—she loved her walks, she was well-behaved, and so much fun to be around. Spending time with them was definitely a highlight of our stay. I also appreciate how clear and straightforward our communication was throughout the entire process. From our initial discussions to any instructions you left for us, everything was perfectly clear, making it easy to ensure that everything ran smoothly in your absence. It was a pleasure taking care of Lizzy. She is a sweetheart and very well behaved. Gail and her daughter Natalie were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. One week at Milana’s home was a wonderful experience. Milana was excellent to communicate with, her apartment location to explore Chicago was perfect and Tzitz was an entertaining companion! Tzitz is easy going, playful and a pleasure to care for!
The cats were very sweet and loving. They each have their own personality and I got close to each of them during my stay. The house has everything you could need and located in a great area. Instructions were written out and the owners were quick to respond. On 2 separate occasions, the owners had someone come to the house to check on the cats while I was home and without informing me. The owners were nice and very understanding when I had an emergency that was going to have me away from the house for 12 hours and made other accommodations for that day. I would not recommend this sit for anyone that is looking to explore or do things that will have you out of the house for several hours. The owners feed the cats 3 times a day and while cats are usually fine on their own for several hours, these owners were very particular about someone being there for each meal time, meaning you only have about 4-5 hours out of the house at each time. All in all, this sit was more demanding than other cat sits I’ve had and felt just as demanding as dog sits, which I was not expecting, but the owners were very nice and you can tell they love their cats dearly.
It was a pleasure to look after Buster and the kittens. He's such a friendly dog, we got on right away. He is very responsive to "touch!" and very sweet-natured, unless you are a squirrel! We had a lovely time exploring and having sofa cuddles. The kittens are also very sweet, and pretty content to chill out with only a few moments of shenanigans. Initially a little curious, they soon warmed up to fusses, the sound of double purring is quite something :) The house is quirky but cosy, extremely well-equipped and great space to spend some time. Would happily return.
Allison had the housekeeper clean the house prior to our arrival which was very much appreciated. Pack your cosy slippers and pj’s and enjoy some quality time with Floofy on the couch, playing with his toys and pampering him with love. He will probably try to convince you that the automatic feeder is malfunctioning and he hasn’t eaten in days, L O L. Allison‘s unique home is centrally located and is an excellent jumping off point to go to the city, hike in the numerous trails nearby or to see a San Jose Sharks game via an easy walk to Caltrain station. We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving week here. Thank you Allison & Floofy.
