We were very lucky to have Rick care for our home and pets while we attended an out of town funeral. He adapted to their needs and routines very quickly. He had no issues dispensing their meds, or following the feeding schedule. Gave the dog long walks. Sent photos and communicated appropriately. Would happily recommend him to anyone.
Alex and his sister, Tara, were a joy to meet online before the housesit and did everything and more before and during the sit of our ten month-old Goldendoodle, Louis. Before their arrival, they read the Welcome Guide thoroughly and asked pertinent questions. Once in Amsterdam, but before the sit actually started, they visited us to understand Louis and the flat, his habits and favourite spots. The day the sit started they arrived earlier than initially planned because our flights were changed and they agreed to stay on a few hours longer in case our return flights were delayed. We left Louis with them confident that he was in the best possible hands. Throughout our journey outside Amsterdam, Alex and Tara sent us regular updates of Louis, who was visibly thrilled with them and proud to be showing them around town! They could not have taken better care of him, including during his off-lead walk in Beatrix park. Alex and Tara even took the extra time and effort to teach him a few new things, which we appreciated immensely. As an added bonus, upon our return we found a flat just as spotless if not more so than we had left them and the plants looking healthy. They are organized, considerate, responsible, punctual and kind: a pretty brilliant combination! Having Alex and Tara stay in our flat and look after Louis was perfect and we would welcome them back again, any time.
Louis and Natalia were delightful, interesting, and most helpful. They bonded right away with our dog, Cooper, and gave us the secure feeling that everything would be well cared for. And it was.
