David took wonderful care of our dog and our house. We would highly recommend him. Our dog was happy and well-cared for when we returned. The house was spotless and everything was carefully in its place. My husband and I had not both been away from our dog at the same time for a while, and she is getting into her old age, so we were worried how she would do without one of us. David was sensitive to our concerns and was responsive to the communication requests we had to know she was okay. He was an ideal dog and house sitter.
Marina was amazing, she took such good care of our three dogs. They went on daily walks, she sent us pictures throughout her stay. Our home was very clean and tidy when we came back. We would have her stay at our home anytime!
David & Brigitte were very welcoming and went out of there way to make us comfortable, offering us a meal even organising space on her desk to I could put my laptop there. The two cats Leyla & Blanca are delightful, friendly and easy to care for. Blanca is always ready for a cuddle especially when sitting in the lounge. And we are very happy to be going back for a second sit shortly. Location is great with shops, parks & walks close by and public transport is on your door step if you need it to get to town
Tara and Jim’s house was fantastic, and Rascal is a very good dog! The house and grounds are beautiful, and I fully enjoyed walking the paths and taking the dogs on walks. There is a well developed path system just a mile or so away from the house, and Rascal was great on his long leash when we explored. Rascal is full of energy, as one would expect from an 18 month old golden retriever, and kept me active. He is reliably trained to an invisible fence system, which made it easy to hang out with him outside. Tara was an excellent communicator and answered any questions I had, even though they were traveling internationally during my sit. She left me a local gift card and some honey from her friend and neighbor that was delicious. It was fun to explore the surrounding towns - the glass museum. The art museum, and the farmers market were highlights of my time while staying in Neenah. I will stay here again if I am ever in eastern Wisconsin.
Bethany and Toby made us very welcome in their home and we made fast friends with the poodles, Merlot and Darcie. As set out in Beth’s posting for sitters, Merlot is a gentle giant who just loves a cuddle and Darcie will chase anything that bounces. They both love the beach, so it’s fortunate that beautiful, dog-friendly places such as Point Cartwright are within such easy reach of Buderim. This was quite a brief sit for us, but we really enjoyed it and would be happy to return for longer. In the meantime, we highly recommend Bethany and Toby as hosts.
We had a great stay looking after Sky during the February half term. We chatted to Katie prior to our sit, and received a warm welcome when we arrived. The house was cosy clean & tidy and in an ideal location to walk to the train station (5 mins), or Winchester in 15/20 minutes. Sky is a lovely dog, and instantly bonded with us. If he wasn't snuggling on the sofa with us, he was rolling over for a belly rub. He also loved playing in the garden. He was great on walks too. As advised by Katie, we kept him on the lead, and distracted him with treats when we saw other dogs, as we were told he can occasionally get a little anxious. He never barked or pulled to get to other dogs. He has a wonderful temperament & our 6 year old became his new best friend! He came on our adventures with us, into cafes, in the car and even on a boat trip! He was impeccably behaved, and enjoyed all the attention he got, as he is a very handsome boy! Katie was very accommodating & flexible when we asked to use another bedroom at short notice. The generosity was extended through the invite to use any toys, games and even their bikes. We'd definitely recommend this house sit, it was a lovely home, ideal location with a wonderful dog.
I had a lovely time house sitting for Alex and Nicky for a week and a half while they headed off to Greece. I arrived the evening before their early morning departure - they were both very kind and welcoming , and I felt settled right away. It only took a moment for Alex to explain what needed doing for Mo and the ducks, as they are very low maintenance. The ducks were very used to their routine of being let out of their enclosure in the morning, and heading back in for their evening meal - they were no trouble at all, and both adorable and amusing to watch as they ran around the garden throughout the day. Mo is a sweet, affectionate and very laid-back dog. She is more self sufficient than the average dog as she has free access to the garden via her dog flap, and grazes on her kibble throughout the day. She will gently paw you for a head scratch/belly rub, loves going on walks, and is friendly with other dogs she meets on her walks. She gets a special treat every evening for being such a good girl. The house is large yet has a homely atmosphere, with a warm spacious kitchen and cosy snug both featuring smart TVs and large open fireplaces. The garden is absolutely beautiful with dazzling array of bright flowers and colourful shrubs and trees, and a stunning panoramic view over the surrounding hills. My two sisters were also permitted to visit me for a couple of days, during which we made use of the tennis court and all had a wonderful stay. Thanks again to Alex and Nicky for entrusting me with your wonderful home and animals.
What a super sit! Bruce is a lovely well mannered dog that quickly warmed up to me. We enjoyed a long weekend together, and were able to visit all the local parks and woodland walks with close access to the house. Kate’s communication was great, and left an informative welcome pack with walk recommendations and some of the best coffee spots. The house was very clean and had everything I could have needed, I enjoyed meeting the other resident dogs! I’d highly recommend sitting for Kate, the location is great with easy access to Walthamstow, Stratford and the rest of East London.
