Joanne and Carl were very gracious hosts in their comfortable and impeccably clean home. We were fortunate enough to share a meal the night before their departure and had such fun getting to know this awesome couple! Joanne thought of anything we could need to make our stay great, and had thorough directions for the house and the cats, Lulu and Boog. The girls are quite shy and reserved, but Lulu eventually spent more time out as the sit went on. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get Boog to want to come out much, so we would be sure to leave the house, giving her time to roam. Both cats have sweet dispositions, and we hope to continue to gain their trust in future sits!
This was a great sit. Very nice home and lovely area. Felt very comfortable and safe. Brooks and Bailey were great pets, albeit Bailey is still a puppy as she has an exuberant amount of energy and can be invasive without a strong command for boundaries. They’re both very sweet and I even had my dog with me and they were aquainted with each other very quickly. They require strong arms for walks as they’ll pull you when other dogs are nearby. I had an occurrence where they both jumped onto a lady who was holding her small dog which caused me to hurt my shoulder and unforeseeably left me fearful of taking them out for walks again as I couldn’t control them. They’re incredibly strong when they want to chase another animal so I recommend strong sitters for walks. I’m 5’3” and 120 pounds and struggled maintaining them both when other dogs or rabbits would cross our path. All in all it was a great sit and would come again. Tammera and Bren also have pool passes to their community which was great. It’s a very nice community and has a lot to offer for outdoor play and adventures. Thank you for the hospitality and warm welcome into your home. 💚
