David and I had the pleasure of house-sitting for Rob and Naomi for two and a half weeks in February and we can not recommend it enough! We’d never looked after such large dogs before so were a little apprehensive of two Bernese Mountain dogs but we needn’t have been as Margot and Mortimer are a delight. They are very good natured dogs and love a fuss, Margot in particular! It does take two of you to walk them as they are so big and strong but there’s a nice little park near the house, which is very convenient and they very much enjoy going there each day for a good sniff! We met up with Rob and Naomi before the sit to make sure it was a good fit for everyone and they could not have been more friendly and relaxed. They also gave us a written, comprehensive, welcome guide about the dogs and the house, which was very useful to refer to. The house is absolutely beautiful and David and I felt very at home - the bed was very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed having our own sitting rooms! It’s also very convenient for walking into York and there’s a co-op very close to the house, which we made good use of. David and I are missing Margot and Mortimer and hope to sit for them again soon!
Michael has a beautifully decorated and furnished apartment in immaculate condition, right by the Hudson River, and just a short walk to the subway. Auggie and Gucci are adorable kitties, each with their own unique personality, and both easy and fun to look after. Michael left very clear instructions, and we were in touch by Whatsapp. A great experience!
Suzana es una persona increíble, una de esas personas raras en el mundo. Desde el primer momento demostró sus ganas de ayudar. La comunicación con ella siempre fue muy efectiva. Los gatos son lo más encantador, piden comida y cariño y ellos devuelven mucho afecto. Fue muy especial estar con ellos. El alojamiento está a 20 minutos en autobús del centro de la ciudad, lo cual es muy conveniente. Sin duda recomiendo este alojamiento ❤️ Suzana is an incredible person, one of those rare people in the world. From the first moment she showed a desire to help. Communication with her was always very effective. Cats are the most charming thing, they ask for food and affection and they return a lot of affection. It was very special to be with them. The accommodation is 20 minutes by bus from the city center, extremely convenient. I certainly recommend this accommodation ❤️
This sit for Craig and fam was great, they were very accommodating and welcoming, picking me up from the station and making me dinner, and were also very chill about things in general. I had everything I needed for the house and when I had questions they were very communicative, the dogs are very affectionate and love their walks, especially the fetch during their off-lead time in the woods. It was also fun to go visit the nearby villages and towns, and the countryside around there is very pretty. I would recommend to future sitters!
What a lovely dog, family, and home! Molly was incredibly welcoming and easy to communicate with, always quick to respond and very generous with us being in their space. Stevie is a joy of a dog and was so much fun to hang out and hike with, lots of energy on the trail but also happy to chill on the couch. The home is very close to amazing hikes and lovely beaches . We would happily sit for Molly again!
