I had a great sit at James and Amy’s. They were kind, hospitable and organised and a pleasure to deal with throughout. They sent me a pdf which detailed how to use everything in the house, information on Hugo, the local area and even recommended walks. Hugo is a real character - affectionate, fun and full of energy. A joy to hang out with. The house is beautiful, it felt like staying in a ‘Country Cottages’ guest house and in a prime location. I highly recommend this sit, you won’t be disappointed.
Penina was a very welcoming host. She was thorough with her instructions and welcome guide and communication was easy with fast responses. The house has nice natural light, all the amenities you may need and a nice backyard to sit down and chill. Snappy was very easy to care for. Samus mostly kept to herself upstairs but was always prompt to come downstairs for meals and eventually to play for a bit with Tyger. Tyger was more playful, always around being curious and enjoyed being petted. He is very mouthy tho and woke me up in the middle of the night or very early morning quite a few nights even tho there was always food and water available. Nothing that made the experience bad. I recommend the sit and would be back in future opportunities as well.
I had such a great time watching Pumpkin, Cosmo and their flock! Jim and Sekhar are great hosts and set me up with all the information I could need while they were away. They were also very responsive if any questions came up. Pumpkin is the queen of the house and usually does her own thing. She does love a good snuggle. One of my daily highlights was taking her for her walk because it was clear she just loved frolicking in the grass. Cosmo loves all the attention you can give him (in a great way!) and also loves to snuggle. He prefers to be near you most of the time. The ducks and chickens are very simple to take care of and you can’t beat fresh eggs each day! Jim and Sekhar’s home is very comfortable. It had everything you may need. Their backyard is also perfect for spending time outside. Location-wise, they are about a 8-10 min walk from City Park, which is gorgeous and has great views of the city and mountains. You also aren’t too far from Colfax where there are lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Anywhere else you may want to go is a quick (and reasonably priced) Uber ride. I look forward to watching the pups and birds again!
This catsit was all around excellent. The location is amazing, Rachel's apt is comfy with all mod cons and super clean with beautiful, tasteful furnishings. I cannot say enough good things about her communication and the experience in general but the real stars here were Lucy and Ollie. Lucy takes her time to warm up to strangers so I felt privileged once she did and Ollie is just the sweetest lovebug who will seek you out for cuddles and quickly charm his way into your heart. Both cats are calm, quiet, don't wake you, don't chew or knock down things ever, and are just such a joy to be around. The fish are low maintenance, pretty to look at, and served as entertaining cat TV which was adorable to see. 10/10 would recommend. I'd come back in a heartbeat and am so grateful to have been chosen for this wonderful petsit.
It was a pleasure to house sit for Barbara and Margherita and to take care of Mika and Gigia. The communication with Barbara and Margherita was excellent from the beginning and during the whole sit. The house is very well situated near the famous dunes of Corralejo - perfect for walks with Mika, the lovable rescue dog. Gigia is an independent cat but sometimes liked nevertheless to cuddle up on our lap, we really loved her. Thank you Barbara and Margherita for your confidence and cuddles to Mika and Gigia!
