Is there anything more appropriate than watching a black cat in Salem, Massachusetts? Marcie and Scott were communicative and welcoming, offering me a home and cat tour and written house guide. Fergie was quite laid back with a personality like Garfield asking for food! He enjoys chasing treats, eating his catnip, and lounging by the fire. I enjoyed sitting next to the easy to use pellet stove and in the sunroom. Great stay and I would recommend.
Our experience with Teresa's housesitting was fantastic. Everything went smoothly; Teresa communicated with us excellently and had all the information perfectly laid out in the guide. The apartment is big yet cozy, beautifully furnished, and above all, clean. Dark Lord and Queenie, the cats, were delightful company during our stay, especially in the evenings when they joined us on the couch. They were easygoing, even with the baby around. Sometimes they liked to hide in unexpected places, which was always funny to look for them :-). The neighbors were also pleasant and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The village is really small, but it offers plenty of opportunities for walking in nature. It is also very well connected by train to Zurich and is within a good driving distance to other nice cities like Baden, Winterthur, and Schaffhausen. We're grateful for the opportunity to spend two weeks with Dark Lord and Queenie and to explore a bit of Switzerland. Staying at Teresa's place was a wonderful experience for us. It was an absolute pleasure to sit for lovely Lucy cat (who will forever be The Duchess to me). She is a Grande Dame who has earned the right to do just as she wants and she is a champion snuggler. I loved having her curled up on the sofa with me and on the bed at night. She enjoys being outside too but doesn’t stray far and comes back for her treats. Tara & Peter are a wonderful couple with great values and humanity. Their home is so tasteful and peaceful, in a desirable neighbourhood that makes for a very relaxing stay/homeworking environment, and is ideally located for some nice forays to beautiful coastal locations between cat cuddling duties. I would recommend this sit to anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future.
A precious baby (6 year old) pug greeted me upon arrival, and we became best buddies instantly. She’s a jewel. The home was comfortable and inviting. The top floor of a historic building with park views was safe and felt like.home. Regent’s Park is literally right across the street. Shopping is nearby. The home owners are great and generous. Recommend this sit highly.
This was a fabulous sit! Beautiful and comfortable home, inside and out. The kitchen is spacious for cooking and the outdoor patio was the perfect spot to spend evenings. There was a plentiful plum tree, which both us and mostly the squirrels enjoyed :D The neighborhood was lovely, as well as hiking on the Joaquin Miller trails. Whitney is such a lovebug! Chill but playful. Was great on walks. At the house she was a constant companion, without being a velcro dog :p She was fine being left at the house alone during outings and was always happy and excited upon our return. Jill and family were great hosts. Very kind and friendly people who made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this sit and hope I'll get to hang with Whitney again!
We had a wonderful stay at Laurel and Alex’s home! Alfred is the sweetest pup! He’s so loving and nurturing and will accompany you by the poolside. We bonded during our walks with carrots and quality time outside. He’s attentive and joyful throughout the entire day. Sparkle was such a lovely lady. She was mainly sun-bathing in her favorite window, but you could catch her hanging out or napping throughout the day. Laurel and Alex were amazing hosts. They gave us an informative walk through which was really appreciated, and welcomed us on arrival. Their home is so cozy and the most ideal environment for a relaxing trip to Tucson/Arizona. The welcome guide was also accessible and made it easy to only communicate when needed. We hope to visit again and miss Alfred and Sparkle already.
