This was a very special stay for me. it was a privilege to housesit for Steve, Kim and Benny for seven weeks, not only because the house and gardens are stunning but also because the family had recently suffered the loss of their beloved mother and wife (I am not divulging anything private here; they made note of this in the listing as it was a difficult time for them and they wanted someone who would be sensitive to their situation) and they honored me with their trust. Benny, oh Benny! What can I say about this awesome cat? He is without a doubt the most laid-back chill cat I have ever met. I don’t think he has ever met a stranger. With Benny, there was no warm-up period; he cozied up to me right from the start. He loves to sit beside you on the couch and will press himself right against your thigh so you have good access for petting him. :- ) Benny and I were two of a kind; he loves lazing in bed on a cold morning, just like me! He is also sometimes very chatty and I loved talking with him. I would sit with Benny for months at a time if I had the opportunity. This is a home that radiates the warmth of the family who live here. it is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Another privilege I had is being there during spring and seeing the gardens come alive. It is in Warrenville, which is just a short drive to Naperville, a great small town outside of Chicago. The whole area is absolutely gorgeous. The backyard backs onto a forest preserve and horse farm; I could and did walk and bike around the preserve many times. There are other beautiful preserves within very short driving distance as well. Steve, the homeowner is a charming, kind and warm man. His daughter Kim and I have become friends over the course of my stay there. She is also awesome. They both were a breeze to communicate with and a lot of fun. I absolutely recommend this housesit without reservation.
This was an ideal, solidly 5-star, pet/house sit. Val and Gary are wonderful, generous hosts, who immediately make you feel welcome. Their home is large, comfortable, extremely well-organized (if you’ve been on a sit before, you know how important this is), with all the amenities you need, nestled in a gorgeous landscape, with views of the ocean. Their two pets are a delight. Tucker is a Golden Retriever, which is all you need to know since they are such wonderful dogs. He’s fun and brightens up your day from morning to night. William is a very healthy, friendly statesman and welcomes you immediately. He loves to be groomed with the grooming glove and is always at the front door when you return. We loved the walks along the coastal trail with Tucker. If you have never been to The Sea Ranch, you need to put it on your bucket list. It’s a large community, with lovely homes that blend into the coastal landscape. There are lots of things to do including tennis, pickleball, hiking (50 miles of trails), and swimming. The nearby town of Gualala is small but with several dining options, two grocery stores, and a weekly farmer’s market. If Val and Gary offer you a sit, jump on it! We hope to return.
Caroline and Chris are beyond welcoming, and their home is in a beautiful location with incredible views of the water. The Ferry into Seattle is no more than a 5-10 minute walk away. Downtown is also within walking distance. Guerro is a sweet, gentle giant who is pretty low maintenance, only requiring food, cuddles and a few short walks a day. I cannot recommend this sit enough!
We really enjoyed our stay in Huldenberg! Muse is a loyal friend who prefers to be at your feet all the time. She enjoys the petting and attention and we have really grown attached to her. We only saw Eric very briefly, but we kept in touch via app. He's the kind of person you want to get to know better and spend more time with! We loved being able to take care of Muse, the horses and the beautiful house and pool house. We certainly hope to come back here again!
Michael and Helene have given clear instructions when the dogs get to eat etc. The apartment has a great location, close to the Neckarwiese and I was allowed to use the bicycles sofar. I came earlier and they showed me everything and we took the dogs for a walk. Since I work online, I spent a lot of time with the dogs. Hugo and Millie are great dogs, playful and cuddly and I miss them. I would definitely do housesitting with them again.

Tom and Toto were a godsend! I have a very high energy Golden Retriever, who needs a lot of varied mental and physical stimulation to be happy and relaxed when he’s at home. Last year we found Tom and Toto’s group walks and he’s been going on walks with a few other dogs once every week. He absolutely loves these walks and amazingly I even feel like he knows exactly when it’s that time of the week and gets excited in the half hour before he gets picked up. After each walk we get sent a picture from his adventure and a little run down of how everything went and even though he is not the easiest dog on walks, the dog walkers at Tom and Toto handle him amazingly and know just what to do to calm him when he gets zoomie. I would entrust them with my dog’s care any day. We also went to a dog meetup at their daycare center this summer, and this event also was organized like a dream. There was so many happy dogs around, and the Tom and Toto employees that were in attendance were very vigilant, meaning that there was no fighting or even domineering behaviour at all. I can wholeheartedly say that I would recommend their services to anyone. Their love and care for animals shone through in every aspect of Tom and Toto that we got to experience. Thank you for providing such an excellent service!
The team at Tom and Toto take great care of our Corgi twice per week. They always send updates, pictures and summaries of each day. They are always very responsive via their app and it is reassuring knowing that our dog is left with people that love and care about dogs. It's also great for our dog's socialisation and to burn some energy. Thanks for all you do! :)
Our golden Mango is obsessed with daycare. The team at Tom and Toto are always so helpful, friendly and loving towards him. We are very mindful of who we leave Mango with as he is an extremely anxious dog but we never worry about him going to daycare as we know that he is in safe hands. We really wouldn’t send him anywhere else. Trust me, we travel 35 mins to take him every Wednesday! If you’re thinking about it…..do it!
Tinkerbell loves to go to Tom and Toto. She is an English Bulldog, who needs lots of attention and love and certainly gets it there. They are also very good in summer with her and keep her cool and hydrated, as bulldogs can over hear if too hot. I recommend to any dog lovers that are looking for a daycare Tom and Toto is the place to go.
We sent our whippet to Tom & Toto for 18 months, from when he was a puppy. The facilities and team are brilliant - they always took great care of him and he loved going. Staff get to know your dog, encourage them to nap and mix enrichment with play. We'll miss it!
We are so lucky to have found Tom &Toto daycare. Our young and very lively dogs Daisy and Coco love their days there and have made lots of friends. I am so fussy about leaving my dogs with anyone, and one of our dogs in particular can get anxious about anything new but it’s built her confidence no end. The staff are amazing and genuinely love and care for dogs and I know treat them like their own when they are there. I couldn’t recommend this happy place more.
We've been going to the Saturday Social Club to socialise our slightly nervous puppy, and we can really see the benefits. There are three different paddocks, with plenty of space to run, but also interesting obstacles for the dogs. Each session lasts an hour, with up to 15 dogs, and is supervised by 2 friendly members of staff (although you are obviously still responsible for monitoring your pup!) Its a great way to socialise your dog in a safe controlled environment, and a lovely start to the weekend: lots of dogs and dog-friendly people. It's probably one of the best things we have done for our puppy's wellbeing and development.
The entire team at Tom & Toto are kind, knowledgable and absolutely fantastic at what they do. My dog is very happy at daycare, always coming home content, calm and very tired!
What a wonderful service! Annie and Norbert have the best time when they are with Tom and Toto. Their carers are just that - incredibly kind and caring and the dogs are always looked after beautifully. We look forward to receiving photos of them every time. We highly recommend
The guys at Tom and Toto, have been walking our chocolate lab Alfie for a couple of years. Alfie is collected by the team, always with a cheerful welcome by our excited dog, and the Tom & Toto staff make a huge fuss of him. We are sent a report of the dog walk through email, with a fantastic picture of Alfie and his canine chums 'posing'! Really flexible, and always willing to help out! Great work guys!!
Tracy and her husband took care of my cat for 5 days, and he absolutely loved them! He normally doesn’t like strangers, but he seemed to warm up to Tracy from the first day, and he was very happy to see her every day! It definitely allowed me to relax knowing he was being taken care with such great care!
Tracy looked after my cat and rabbits while we were away for 10 days. It was not ideal timing because we had builders there while we were away and my cat is very wary of strangers at the best of times. Although Tracy didn’t see my cat every day she reassured me that he had been coming in for food every night. She also did a brilliant temporary repair job for me when one of my rabbit homes developed a hole in the bottom of it. She kept in regular contact and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
We have two female cats with very different personalities and like any pet owner, we are anxious that they are fed, watered and cared for while we are away. This was the first time that we have used Maccy G Pets service and we can report that we are very happy with the service. Tracy visited us to meet our cats before we travelled which was a nice touch. Tracy kept us updated with daily videos of her interactions with the cats and when we returned all was well with them and our home. Thank you for the care. We would happily recommend their service.
We could not be happier with the service provided at such short notice. Our two elderly cats absolutely love Tracy. Sadie, our eldest at 18 with failing kidneys is a hard nut to crack and very hard to please but the daily photos showed us that she was very happy in Tracy's company, along with Jinx, who has suffered with separation anxiety previously. She took the time to come and visit and introduce herself to the cats prior to starting to care for them. We have booked again as they have been so well looked after.
Having Tracy to look after our Maine Coon kittens for a week meant that we could go on holiday without worrying about them. We had daily video updates to show all the strokes and attention they were getting! And they were bright eyed and bushy tailed happy kitties when we got home :) We would recommend Maccy G Pets without hesitation!
It was the first time we used Maccy G and they were fantastic We went away for a week and Diane was absolutely wonderful. Our cat Archie is very shy but Diane was so patient and managed to help him overcome his shyness and I could see from the photos she sent that he looked so happy and content. It took away all our worries about leaving him. They are wonderful and we will always ask them to look after Archie when we go away. We really would recommend them. 😀
Tracy is a very experienced and trustworthy person who has a real gift/talent in looking after pets. Everything from pre-visit to regular updates whilst on holiday was brilliant. The pets were extremely well cared for and we didn’t have to worry at all whilst away. We would highly recommend this pet sitting service.
We booked Tracey to come twice a day for 5 days, to feed our 2 cats, while we were away. She came to visit before hand and meet them, the paperwork was quick and easy to complete and as she'd already looked after other family member's pets, we didn't have any concerns about the care she'd provide. She wanted to keep their routines as similar to normal as possible and was happy to spend time with them on her visits, brush them, play with them etc. Turns out, as our cats are total wimps, they didn't want to spend much time getting to know her, but Tracey made sure we knew they were safe by contacting us with photos or video of them when she popped in. Although this is her business and it would potentially reduce her profit, Tracey offered to cut back from two to one visit per day, due the cats having access to inside and outside space and eating dried food. We did take her up on this and saved ourselves a few pounds - thanks Tracey. Our cats, Percy and Archie, would not have coped well in a cattery, so this was a great option. Although they were probably a little miffed with us going away, they were both fed and watered and happy to see us in our return. Photo of Archie who was pretty illusive while we were away.
Had a fabulous experience with Tracy looking after my two turtles. You can tell she cares greatly about keeping animals safe, happy and healthy and wants to learn about their personalities. I felt super comfortable leaving my turtles in her care, she sent me daily updates with photos which really put my mind at ease while I was away! 💚 Cheap and friendly service that I will be using again!

Im new to Norwich and We Love Pets were recommended to me by a colleague, and now I recommend them to everyone! I was initially sceptical about using a company because I thought they’d be too expensive and I had an individual dog walker before. But their prices are really reasonable, and it means there’s never any last minute cancellations because of holidays or sickness. Steve and Jake are really reliable, flexible, kind and professional. I get regular updates and pictures from their walks, and my dog was so tired when I got home from work the other day he took himself to bed 3 hours early! I can’t recommend them enough.
I recently used Steve and his team for drop-in calls during the working day for our English Bulldog. Having never used a similar service before I can't thank them enough for their professionalism and care given. They kept me in touch regularly and Calli thoroughly enjoyed all the fuss and attention. I will certainly be using their services again soon.
We have had an amazing experience today, which is all down to Steve from We Love Pets Norwich! We needed a dog sitter whilst we attended my son’s graduation at UEA. Our plans changed more than once but Steve was flexible and accommodating. We met Lyn and Keith today, and our Standard Poodle Phoebe had the time of her life at their lovely home for the afternoon! They also helped us to get to the ceremony on time and even gave us a cup of tea at the end of the day! I would not hesitate to recommend these wonderful people with regard to looking after dogs!
Steve is brilliant with our menagerie - dog, cat and chickens! Always sends pictures and a message when he visits, which is very reassuring, and is very punctual.
I cannot recommend We Love Pets Norwich enough! I contacted them at very short notice after being let down with my previous arrangements for my dog Sophie, and they responded immediately, came to meet Sophie, and established exactly what I required. Steve set up a WhatsApp group with the lovely young lady Sydney who would be walking Sophie so that I was in contact at all times, and Sydney kept me updated with plenty of photos and updates whilst I was away. Sophie was relaxed and happy when I returned, in fact I think she was disappointed I wasn't Sydney! Great service, great choice of services, and fabulous team! Thank you!!
Can’t thank Steve enough for taking great care of our German Shepherd. It was a one off as we don’t live locally, and it enabled us to attend a funeral. Great communication prior to the day, a quick meet and greet to fit our schedule, and then activities and care appropriate for the length of time he had her and temperature of the day. Steve took my lab Archie out for a walk every day for two weeks He played ball with him and sent me plenty of photos If Archie could talk I’m sure he would say that he had the best time
We used this home boarding service for the first time earlier this month when we attended a family wedding without our ageing two Jack Russells (both 14) In the end they had such a great time and were so well treated that they almost didn't want to come home. The couple with whom they lodged are in high demand so we're already planning our next break for 2024. Thanks to everyone involved.

Darcie is so well cared for with Steve and Anita.. have already done two years trips for vaccinations etc groomers and home visits and park walks with their own dogs. Darcie is getting lots of attention and socialisation which is great especially as being with me 24/7 during the recent lockdown and at home. I am returning to work albeit part time and was anxious about leaving her. Having lost my previous support I found We Love Pets and Darcie is happy so I am happy...very reliable and will always try to fit me in if an emergency. I get lots of pictures and videos too when she with them which is such a bonus as I know she is in safe hands. Can't praise them enough.
Clare has been an absolute god send looking after my Dad’s 12 Year Old Schnauzer for the last few weeks whilst he’s been in Hospital. He has had the highest Standard of Care, she sends me regular Pics & Videos and she offers great Value for Money given all the above. I cannot recommend her more highly!
Lovely lady that treated my dog as though it was her own. I was very nervous about leaving my dog with Claire for a week as I had never done this before. However Ickle had a great time and I have booked again for my next trip. Highly recommend for that extra special service.
Claire is on of the genuine and amazing people who simply loves dogs. Iris is such a friendly dawg, so gentle, so between the two of them your dawg will be in holiday heaven and will make a new doggy pal

Our 2 dogs seemed really well and happy after their first stay at Mill Kennels. Rachel & Tony were so lovely and so we had real peace of mind whilst we were away. We even got some photos of them too. Highly recommend.
Our puppy, Goose, had his first ever kennel stay with Rachel & Tony and he was clearly loved, well looked after and cared for. What an amazing couple they are, Goose clearly didn't want to leave as he was busy choosing a toy from the toy box whilst we chatted. Thank you xx
Do not leave your dogs with these people,we are dealing with the consequences of them boarding there.They went in healthy and fit,now we have two dogs who are sick and undergoing treatment. We are devastated.
My 2 doggies Bella&Barney stayed at Mills for 11 days whilst we went on holiday and I couldn't be happier with the how they've been taken care of and loved whilst we were away. Being new to the area and having visited another local kennel and been bitterly disappointed in the owners attitude and exorbitant charges we were delighted when we found this gem! We have 3 small dogs who have been in the same kennels for a number of years and we were apprehensive about how they would settle. It could not have gone better! Rachel could not have been sweeter and the dogs loved her and her husband. One of our dogs does not take to strangers but when we received a text a couple of hours after dropping them off saying the he was sitting on Rachel’s lap and he let her pick him up we could not have been more delighted On collection the dogs were immaculately clean and smelling fresh, and their blankets had all been washed (bonus!!!) Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone Thank you so much - we will be back 💕
My dog had his first trial stay at a kennel here 4 nights ago and it couldn't have gone better. He went in with no problem at all. Rachel looked after him so well. A massive thank you & looking forward to his next trial in March.
Always take my westie here, he goes off wagging his tail no problems with rachel so obviously well looked after. Anyone would think he was the one on holiday! Really friendly and very dog savvy. Comes home with his doggy cologne on ready to show off to the females. Would highly recommend and wouldn't go anywhere else .
great family run Business good down to earth people . always try to accommodate our needs as for the old karen's on here mark, adam and john get a life sad little men . trying to put a business down because you don't make the rules and get your own way . feel sorry for your partners putting up with whingey so called men like your selfs .
I have been using Mill Kennels on average for twice a year since Rachel took over the business in 2011. I have always found the staff to be professional, and the service to be consistently high in both its standards of care and reliability. Whenever I pick my dogs up after a stay, they are always healthy and happy. Previously, I had tried other establishments and there were always problems. All my adult life I have had high energy working type dogs such as; Rottweilers and German Shepherds, I currently have a Staffordshire Bull terrier and a Labradoodle. Some kennels find these intelligent high energy breeds, or dogs with health, or dietary restrictions difficult, in my experience, Rachel is always ready to discuss and meet special needs wherever possible. One of the key factors for me is that my dogs get daily opportunities for appropriate exercise and stimulation, so we can go on holiday without any guilt, or concerns. I have no hesitation in recommending Mill kennels. I have no commercial interest in this business.
My dogs, all 3, have been here many times over the past few years and I could not be happier with the care they have had. So much so that they are eager to greet Rachel and treat her as if she were one of the 'family'.
Our 5 year old little Yorkie, Milly, had never stayed in kennels before, so we were very apprehensive about leaving her for 10 days. Well, we needn’t have worried, as Jane, the owner, is lovely and clearly loves what she does and gives the very best of care to her boarders. We received updates and pictures, which was such a comfort. When we picked Milly up, it was apparent that she had been happy had been taken such good care of; she slotted straight back into life at home. We really can’t praise Jane and her staff enough. Would thoroughly recommend.
Cannot rate these kennels higher! The owner, is an absolute gem and you can tell absolutely loves animals. Our first time using these kennels for our dachshund Coco, and she's had such a lovely time. The regular updates, and pictures put our minds at rest. Honestly we can't thank you enough, and will continue to use you in future. I highly recommend Crostwick boarding kennels to everyone who’s looking for somewhere for their pet to go to while in holiday. Our Border Collie loved it there! This was her second stay and she was so happy and well treated which put my mind at ease while on holiday. Jane was very helpful and honest from the moment we step foot in there was a friendly and extremely helpful atmosphere! They got a good system going there... I would personally like to thank Jane who runs the place for sending me updates on our dogs stay. Genuinely caring and nice people. Have used the kennel many times in the last 20 years or so. Very pleased with the place and find the owner and staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The kennels are very clean and at this time of year warm. My dogs were given plenty of exercise

It was our, almost 2 year old, Labrador's first stay in kennels. In preparation for his stay, we visited with him on two occasions. Jane was more than happy to facilitate this. She was also happy for us to contact to check in on how he was whilst we were away. It was clear that the owners and staff really enjoy caring for the dogs. Our dog appeared to be well looked after. We've had no problems since he's returned home. We also took advantage of the dog wash... Organised for him to have a wash before we picked him up so he smells nice and fur lovely and shiny!
This was our Labradors second stay in kennels. Very friendly and understanding owners. We were reassured via email that all was okay whilst we were away. Our dog came back smelling fresh ( we took advantage of the dog wash) and has been perfectly happy since coming home. Would recommend.
This was my dogs second stay in kennels he is 8 years old and a very big anxious dog, his first visit to another kennel didn’t go well at all and was very upsetting. So tried again with Crostwick and I’m overwhelmed with how they were with him, they are such lovely people and my dog was so happy and looked after. Would highly recommend this kennel to anyone who want to go away and not have to worry about their pets. I will definitely be using them again for my dog. Excellent service !
Friendly staff. Looked after our Labrador for 4 days. Kennel and runs a good size. Have land behind to walk dogs one at a time. Happy for us to call and check how he is doing. Pricing seems very reasonable. Would use a again for sure. Our dog looked very healthy on collection but glad to leave, lol. Would be nice if they had bigger land to give the dogs a good exercise possibly.
Not happy with the customer service we received during the covid outbreak I’m afraid. Our deposit was kept despite the circumstances which obviously was totally out of our control. As a self employed person I understand the financial implications for a business but passing the bill onto customers who are already losing out is just bad taste. Also, the dogs were scheduled to go to a couple who they had never met before (this was our second time using barking mad) despite being told during the registration meeting that they would go to the same people each time. A little disappointing as very pricey too.
I have always been really pleased with the service that I have got with Barking Mad our dog is always well cared for, we have never been let down by them I would recommend them to anyone, I could not put my boys in a kennel so it is perfect they get a holiday and we do not have to worry. When I get my older boys stuff ready to go he is at the window waiting then when they arrive he lets us know and can't get to the car fast enough. Thank you Barking Mad for making it easy for us.
