I thoroughly enjoyed my one week stay in Lynne and Jeremy's beautiful home in the Suffolk countryside. From my initial application to the last day, communication was always excellent and I felt I was very prepared for the sit. I arrived a couple of hours before Lynne and Jeremy (and Sam!) set off for their holiday, for a informative handover and for my dog Jimmy and Teazle to get acquainted - which they did straight away with no issues. This was my first time looking after gerbils and Lynne gave me a clear run through of what they needed. The house itself is a beautiful converted barn just about a mile and a half outside the main village. I can recommend the dog friendly cafe. My bedroom was very comfortable and the kitchen was more than well equipped. The lovely garden overlooking the countryside was a great place to laze in the hammock after long walks from the house or trips out and about in Suffolk. Teazle is a lovely dog - full of spaniel energy! She has a very high prey drive so I only walked her on lead and she is quite strong! In the house, she knows the rules - not to get on furniture and to sit before eating - without being told. She sleeps well in her bed downstairs. I did take her out in the car, but as Lynne and Jeremy had explained, she is quite anxious one the engine starts but she had a fun time once we got to our destination. Teazle and my dog Jimmy loved to sniff about in the garden together and she didn't behave any issues with him being on her patch. Salt and Pepper, the gerbils, were super cute and would pop out to say hello when I went to check on them during the day - especially if I had some treats for them! I would recommend this sit and hopefully Jimmy and I can come back another time.
Annie and Rusty are the absolute sweetest dogs! From walks around the neighborhood to cuddles on the couch, they are such a joy to care for. Marty and Julian were great communicators and gave us clear instructions for caring for their dogs. Their home is extremely comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this sit!
Beautiful city, wonderful dogs, cozy apartment and nice hosts! Sitting with Winston and Rubble was lovely! Both are lovable, playful, funny dogs. Andrew and Herb were very welcoming and helpful with any questions I had. The beautiful apartment is in a great location (5 min walk from the old center) and surrounded by parks to walk the dogs! I've had a great time in Geneve with Winston and Rubble!
James and Nidhi were informative and clear about what I had to pay attention to about the house and the tasks needed. Hazel is a playful girl! She loved playing tug of war and fetch. Walking her was easy as well. Earl is a sweet cat and it was fun to play with him and his toys when he felt like it. I'd recommend sitting for James and Nidhi anytime! I'd do it again for sure.
Absolutely wonderful! Nigel and Emma were lovely and we enjoyed our meal (and such a delicious cake too!) with them the night before they left. Their home and garden is beautiful, and of course, Lara and Miki were the stars of the show, we had such fun looking after them both. The location is brilliant for exploring and we truly had a glorious time. Fabulous!
Kevin ended up having work done on his home so we housesat in his condo that was just a boardwalk crossing away from the beach! Kevin and Helen were very kind and generous! They shared all sorts of recommendations on Martin’s morning walk and gave us a brief overview the condo and automatic cat box when we finished the walk. Martin, the golden doodle, was such an energetic and adorable pup. I miss waking up to him presenting me my shoe for a walk. He was so well behaved and loved playing ball. Fritz, the cat, mostly liked to relax in the master, but would come out to let us know it was dinner time. He was usually up for batting at his cat toy and enjoyed head and chin scratches. It took Tish, the cat, a little while longer to get used to us. She was often under the bed in the master, but we eventually were petting her as well. If you want to get some amazing pet therapy with both dogs and cats by the beach, this house sit is for you!
