What a wonderful 5 days! I definitely felt spoiled staying in Donna and Patty's beautiful home with Gemma, the cat, as my constant companion. We were friends the moment I walked through the front door and whether I was upstairs, downstairs on the sofa, or outside enjoying time on the deck she kept me company. Simon, the shy one, took a while to warm up. And even by the 5th day he was still a bit cautious. I considered it major progress when I could sit on the same sofa as him (on opposite end) and he wouldn't immediately dart away. Both cats are beautiful, with their own personality, and were very easy to look after. Donna and Patty were easy to talk to and made me feel so welcome in their home. They left specific notes in addition to their Welcome Guide and all the cat food, supplies, etc. was well organized and labeled. They even treated me to the best quiche I've ever tasted - so delicious! And recommended a nearby coffee shop that was fantastic. Their neighbourhood is in a lovely residential area, with tree lined streets, mountain view, parks, and trails. Safe and easy to walk everywhere including nearby Edgemont Village with little boutique shops, cafes, and a Thriftys Grocery. Also walkable to Lower Lonsdale where you can take the sea bus across the water to Downtown Vancouver. If you have the chance to cat/house sit for Donna and Patty, take it! I would be very happy to return again :)
This was our first house sitting experience and it was wonderful. Liz is an open person and everything was very clear from the beginning. Bob is the sweetest dog ever. He is easy to take care of and he loves to go outside and play. We were both working from home and it was very easy with Bob because he is so relaxed at home. Morris is also sweet although he needs to know you a little better before you can pet him. So we waited for him to look for attention. Thankyou for this great first house sitting experience Liz! ;) See you!
We had a lot of fun caring for Stanley for a week! He’s a friendly, energetic and loving dog. He’s always up to playing and going for walks, following your pace and looking up to make you’re safe. Kaitlyn’s place is very clean and well-appointed. She gave very clear instructions, made sure everything was ready for us, and was super easy to communicate with. We’d love to care for Stanley again!
I recently had the pleasure of hanging out with Maggie for 11 days and it was truly a delightful experience! From the initial consultation to the last day of the sit, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Marc was incredibly organized and welcoming, providing me with detailed instructions about the Maggie's routines, dietary needs, and any special care required. This made my job much easier and ensured that I could provide the best care possible. Maggie was absolutely wonderful to care for and it was a joy to get to know her! We enjoyed playtime and all the cuddles. The house was cozy and well-maintained, making it a pleasant environment to stay in. Communication with Marc was excellent throughout my stay. He was always available to answer any questions I had and was very responsive. He made sure I felt at home and comfortable, which allowed me to focus on providing the best care for Maggie and the home. It was a great experience overall, and I would be delighted to sit for Marc and Maggie again in the future.
Janae was a great sit and provided clear instructions on how to care for the house and Billie. The house is beautiful and had lots of lovely surrounding areas for walks. Billie is such a happy and affectionate dog to care for. She has so much energy and loves cuddles. We had a lot of fun looking after her.
Great house and location! You can tell by all the family pictures that there is a lot of love in this home home. Charlie is the best cat!! He sleeps a lot but likes to come down to interact and cuddle. Very friendly. I enjoyed my time while staying at their home.
