As I drove into Stella's nice, quiet neighborhood, I immediately noticed midcentury modern homes with transom and clerestory windows of which I am a huge fan. Not only did Stella's MCM home have many windows but the numerous glass doors led out to a garden with a 200 year old redwood with an amazing base surrounded by plants including Bird of Paradise which I rarely see. Stella welcomed me with a great salad. The friendly Sophia welcomed me with licks and paw hugs. Pretty Koukla lovely as a lamb. Both dogs are clearly well loved and cared for by Stella. We have many similar interests and our conversations ranged from Greece, RVs, DNA and genealogy. Stella generously allowed me to use her massage chair as we watched Youtube clips on RVs and vans. Stella's collection of art reminded me of my college trip to Greece. The Rinconada Library is a great place to spread out a project and they have great books on the area along with a superb use of breeze block in its design. It is across from the Palo Alto Art Center and community gardens. The area has countless good restaurants of which I really enjoyed State of Mind Slice House and the YMCA has a good pool and hot tub to work off the pizza.
Hi Anna and James We had a wonderful time in your lovely home. Peggy and Brigid were delightful company. So enjoyed sitting in the front lawn and taking in the great views. An amazing home to live in. Martina
We knew this sit was going to be special for many reasons. Leigh was extremely communicative and gave us thorough instructions how to care for her beautifully decorated home, thriving plants, lush tropical oasis of a private patio, and the sweetest cat, Luna/Lulu. Leigh kindly cares for a couple of underprivileged outdoor cats that flock to her home as well and her love for animals and nature is evident. The townhome is literally feet away from pretty much anything you could need. Exploring Old Town and Duval Street by foot is convenient and required! You can feel the island’s energy from inside the home, and I enjoyed hanging out with Luna while we watched all the people walking by. We feel so fortunate to have been chosen, and would be honored to return. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ all around! Thank you again, Leigh and Fred!
This was a lovely home and the sweetest little dog. Sadie was a delight. She's so easy and well behaved. We also enjoyed our stay in this small town outside of Nashville.
One of our favourite housesits. The location is stunning, the owners are lovely, and the doggos are the bestest!
This was a lovely and very enjoyable housesit! I was looking after Louisa's two cats, Gus and Cassie. They were easy to care for and very affectionate, particularly Gus who was my little shadow throughout my stay! Cassie was more independent, but would seek out a cuddle if she wanted some attention. Louisa's home is beautiful, and was a pleasure to stay at. It is very spacious and welcoming, and the garden was a particularly lovely space on the sunny days during my stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, but with easy access to Oxford and other places for a nice day out. I would be more than happy to housesit for Louisa again, and very much recommend this sit for anyone who is looking for a beautiful and peaceful stay in the Oxfordshire countryside!
