Omar is a sweetheart! He is easy to love and care for in Holly's nice apartment. He takes his daily medication easily with treats. Cardio/weight rooms were fabulous as well. I would recommend this sit and would return if given the opportunity.
Joanna was a lovely host and made sure I had a good sense of Winston, his routine, the house and the neighbourhood before she was off. Communication was seamless throughout, and her home warm, relaxed, clean and perfectly comfortable. Winston is a sweet, typical terrier! Vocal, independent (though appreciative of company), determined, and definitely playful! The woods with endless walkways are only a short ways away and he was really happy to spend time exploring there. His routine was easy to follow, and didn’t require anything at all demanding. I would gladly sit for Joanna again.
I had a very nice weekend with Milo. He's a super chill, lovely cat and was extremely relaxed since the minute I entered home. It's obvious he's always been so loved. It's so easy to take care of him, super friendly and funny with his silly looks :)) Claire's flat is so cozy and nice, 1 minute walk to the bus station and close to train station too. I loved walking in huge Brockwell park in mornings, had delicious things at the market on Sunday. Recommended sit.
Rebecca and Jack were incredibly hospitable and generous. I went the evening before and we had pizza and got to know each other. The cats were really sweet with really nice rescue stories. Bobby was really good at taking his pill and inhaler. The cats have a very clear routine (with adaptability if needed but I was working from home) that was clearly explained. The house is nice, with a cute garden you can enjoy on sunny days. I would recommend this sit 😊
Danny and I have just returned home after housesitting for Dasher and his Mum & Dad, Jen & Nick, in their beautiful long cottage in Wales close to Wrexham. The cottage is beautifully appointed and despite the cold weather and snow, was warm and cosy and we enjoyed our stay very much. It is very private, down a long lane and the garden is frequented daily by lots of wildlife including badgers, pheasants, and a wide variety of birds. It was a real pleasure looking after the cottage and to pet sit for ‘Dasher’ a much loved and cared for cat. Dasher was a rescue cat who is content with his own company for much of the time, and apart from feeding and watering, he was content to do his own thing and use the cat flap when he wanted to go out. Jen & Nick are a really lovely couple, we felt very comfortable and relaxed with them. When we arrived they made us very welcome and spent some time with us, showing us around their gorgeous home and gardens and introducing us to Dasher who quickly accepted us and allowed us to stroke and pet him. Dasher loves his daily brush, in fact, he asked to be brushed more than once a day. We also really appreciated the welcome basket of goodies, and the fresh food left in the fridge. Being the winter season, and with the cold weather and snow, most of Wales seemed to be closed. We did however make a successful trip to Conwy Castle and visited Llandudno as well as the more local Chester and Wrexham and enjoyed some retail therapy at outlet shopping venues. The cottage was only a few minutes’ drive to the local supermarkets, and we were very close to major roads. Local restaurants were a treat and all the people we met were very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed our 9 days looking after Jen & Nick’s home and our time spent with Dasher. We would happily return for a future sit and would recommend this sit to those that would like to look after an independent cat and stay in a fantastic rural Welsh cottage close to amenities.
We had a wonderful time at Lori’s home, taking care of Gus and Daisy. They were easy to care for and well behaved. Gus was very playful and loves to give kisses. Daisy is mellow and just wanted her belly rubbed. Lori was welcoming and easy to communicate with. She was kind enough to leave us a nice welcome gift. The house was spacious and clean. The neighborhood is quiet and family oriented. Plenty of restaurant options, groceries and anything else you might need within a quick five minute drive. Austin and Round Rock are also a short drive away. Definitely recommend.
