What an extraordinary experience this was. First of all, Teddy the gentle Lab is an absolutely beautiful being, we bonded instantly. He led us on wonderful woodland walks on the extensive and simply stunning property. Jenny has done an amazing job of maintaining this blissfully wild yet accessible location. From the hooting of owls at night to dawn glimpses of deer and fox and rabbit, here you can truly become one with nature. The woods have a lovely stream running through them. In a clearing below the main house we watched a gorgeous rare white stag standing sentry for his harem of darling does. Two sweet hens we named Bianca and Rosa provided delicious eggs for us each day. Another unforgettable sit, thank you, Jenny, for your trust and hospitality.

Jo
What a wonderful housesit! Jo and her family are fantastic 'hosts'. We had a wonderful time staying in their relaxed and comfortable family home and the pets are all adorable. We fell in love instantly with Nala and Temba, the dogs. They were a delight to be with: obedient, beautifully trained, affectionate and fun. The three chickens were very entertaining too and they kept us supplied daily with eggs. What a treat!
Jo's comprehensive introductory guide was invaluable and from our first communication onwards, Jo made us feel very welcome and well provided for. Thanks, Jo, for choosing us as your housesitters!

Krista
We had the most wonderful time house and pet sitting for Krista and Matt, and would definitely do it again in a heartbeat!

The house is absolutely gorgeous with stunning views of the mountains. It was the ultimate peaceful getaway.

The pups Cornelius and Peanut were a delight to hang out with, super sweet, cuddly and perfectly behaved all weekend. Alice the cat is a sweetheart who loves to have a chat and get some cuddles.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a house sit in this area.

Eimear
We had a great experience sitting for Eimear and Shona. Peggy is a fantastic dog, very friendly, affectionate, loves attention and is also happy to relax after a long walk in the woods or on the beach. She is very playful and we had great fun throwing the ball in the garden with her too. The garden is enclosed and Peggy can run around freely. Eimear and Shona’s home is beautiful and we felt very comfortable there. We were warmly welcomed, given very clear instructions on how the house works and also how to look after Peggy which was appreciated as this was our first house sit. We had a lovely time here and found it tough to say goodbye to the sweetest of dogs.

Elizabeth and Bennett
Elizabeth was very welcoming and friendly, and Henry was such a fantastic cat. He was a little shy at first, so we wish we had more time to get to know him.

Christiana
I really enjoyed my week with Cookie! I arrived in Sacramento the day before I was due for my sit. Christiana generously offered to pick me up at the airport and drive me to my hotel after a quick tour of her home. She also picked me up at my hotel and brought me to her house the next morning. Cookie is super sweet. It took her a day to warm up to me, after which she would check in on me every few hours to see what I was up to (I was working remotely while I was there). She would come to me if I called out her name. She was very little work; she likes to kick her (clean) litter out of the box, but that's easy enough to sweep up. The house is super cozy; the guest bedroom was really comfortable with great natural light coming in through the windows; Christiana even had a monitor I was able to connect to my laptop, which was greatly appreciated. The kitchen is one of the most well-stocked I've ever seen; if you cook and/or bake, you will have nearly every kitchen tool possible at your disposal. I felt very safe in her neighborhood and appreciated the close proximity to grocery stores, restaurants, and the light rail station, since I was without a vehicle. It's relatively easy to get around Sacramento on public transit, although it is definitely quicker with a car. The house is on a lovely little street that had the scent of orange blossoms and other flowers. There is an amazing gelato place just around the corner - I highly recommend it! Christiana was super flexible with my arrival/departure times and I was able to leave a day early to meet up with my sister in Seattle. I felt guilty leaving Cookie a day early; I had really bonded with her. I even rolled down the cab window to wave at her (one of her face places to hang out is the front window) as I left. I would gladly take care of Cookie again.
