This is a sit to beat. Missed an opportunity on a Swiss sit last year, and since then, the country had been high on the list. Superb to have finally got to it at Mark's with Widgeon, Dickens and Teddy. Gorgeous location with a great pad - it's even better when you're seeing it in person. I got to see this part of Switzerland bathed in mist, hit with sunshine, and then with a fantastic dump of snow. Magic. Loved the range of walks that you can have Widgeon and Dickens out on. This pair are real companions, consistently on or around me. A pair of sooks. Real characters who I'll miss and would definitely rush back to. Teddy came closer just a little more towards the end, but no hands got near him. He needs his space. However, he'll be there enjoying sleeping by Dickens, which is sweet to watch. Mark is a fantastic, welcoming host. A pleasure to communicate with and he ensured that I was sorted with everything, including pick up and drop off in Spiez, and dinner on our first evening. This is a sit to stash away and keep as an annual retreat. You'll leave feeling revived! Thanks again.
I was thrilled when I heard back from Gavin, I knew the area and was hoping he’d pick me so that was the first great think about this sit! The house is huge, over three floors and it also has a beautiful backyard and faces a park to the front, extremely convenient for dog walking! You have everything you need and more! Prepare to be addicted to this amazing creature and fall in love with Betty, Sadie and Magpie! I was working from home and could not get enough of them! They are so lovable and funny! Sadie is always on alert and Betty loves to sleep under the blanket on the sofa. Magpie is so sweet, demanding your attention from time to time, typical cat! Betty’s tummy is a quite sensitive so be aware of that, but you just need clear instructions from Gavin and it will be fine! I loved my sit and already miss the girls! Would definitely recommend this sit and would love to be back to see them again!
Jenny and Ryan were great hosts who made sure we had everything we needed while we were there. Jenny was very thorough when giving the tour and notes, and they both were available for communication throughout the time we spent there. I loved the fact that Jenny set up a clothes rack for us to hang up our clothing. It's a small detail, but much appreciated when you are traveling long-term and need to stay organized. Their house was one of our favorites that we've house-sat at so far. It is small, but they have figured out how to use all their space very efficiently. We loved the whole vibe, and especially enjoyed the outside space including the sauna and hot tub. Reni and Vyvyan are the sweetest chihuahuas you'll every meet. They loved hanging out on our laps during TV time, and it was so cute how they slept in the bed with us. They have their own doggie door, so they were pretty low-maintenance during the day-to-day. They don't require much exercise but were always psyched to go on a walk around the neighborhood. We truly miss Reni and Vyv, and we would housesit again for Jenny and Ryan anytime! Thanks guys!
I’m so lucky Lucy invited me to housesit and take care of Luna their beautiful golden retriever during their family vacation. I enjoyed five weeks in their lovely old farmhouse with huge garden and walks in close proximity, it was a dream. The village and surrounding countryside is absolutely stunning and close to the market town of Petersfield, perfect for shopping. Luna is a joy, extremely friendly, very loving and she loves to be outdoors, especially on walks. I would return in a heartbeat and can highly recommend this housesit.
Sitting for Holi was absolutely awesome! She is such a sweet kitty once she warms up. There was a day or two of hiding, hissing, and swinging of paws (no claws out, very gentle) but once she realized we were friendly and safe, she absolutely melted. She is a total purr machine who loves to play and give you baths. She’s super-easy to take care of and was a lovely companion during our time in San Jose. Kiran and Srishty were gracious hosts. We felt so welcomed into their home and even though they were half a world away, they made sure we were comfortable during our sit. They were still very easy to reach if we ever needed anything, despite the huge time difference. The building and neighborhood are clean, safe, and beautiful with amenities in easy walking distance. The hot tub/pool/bbq area is also very nice. All in all, we highly recommend sitting for Holi if you love kitties and want a great place to stay with awesome, friendly hosts.
My sit in Lymm at Susan's home was great. Buddy is a breeze to take care of, he's very friendly, quite affectionate but very independent and does his own thing. The house was beautiful, comfortable and nice and warm on the cooler summer days. Susan is great at communicating and very easy to get along with, the family are warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this sit.
