Beth showed up when she said she would, took great care of my older cat, and left my house in great condition. Thanks Beth!
We recently house sat for Julia and Peter when they headed over east to visit family. They have a beautiful home in Burns Beach with a lovely swimming pool, well appointed bedrooms and lots of comfortable living space including a delightful alfresco bbq area which we used almost every day. There is off street parking which is handy if you have a car but there are bus stops nearby if you don't. Their home is in a peaceful neighbourhood and is walking distance to the beach and multiple parks. The nearest supermarket / mall area is about 5 minutes drive away and had everything that we needed for our stay. A few months before the sit began we met with Julia, Peter and Dougal, their lovely Golden Retriever, in their nearest park so that we could become acquainted with Dougal and go through the details of the sit. We then spent a night with Julia, Peter and Dougal before they left for their trip so that we could observe Dougals routine, take him for a walk and enjoy a meal together. They left a comprehensive home handbook which was useful to refer to throughout the sit but Julia was always available if we had any questions. The main focus of the sit was Dougal who has a fairly strict but easy to follow routine which ensures he is a happy and healthy boy! He warmed to us quickly, was great company and was exceptionally gentle with our 15 month old daughter who we gradually introduced to him. Dougal is fab on the lead, he loves his twice daily walks and enjoys stopping to have a good sniff around. He is wary of other dogs but if they approach him he is absolutely fine and doesn't get aggressive. Our other tasks on the sit were watering the indoor and outdoor plants, scooping leaves from the pool, mowing the lawn and bringing in the mail / parcels. Overall this is a very nice sit in a great location with a gorgeous, welcoming pooch who has a lot of love to give.
What a wonderful house sit. Garey is very welcoming and left all the necessary details for every possible need. His home is beautiful and the back yard is delightful. Whether it is enjoying the sun with the pups during the day or stargazing at night, it's such a lovely location and setting. The neighborhood is quiet and its the kind of community where everyone waves and says hello. As for Harper and Mia...what adorable company they were. They definitely have their own unique personalities but they kept me entertained the whole time and are very affectionate. We spent the evenings watching movies or reading and they curled up on the sofa with me. They just love being around people. Harper is a huge fan of walks but she enjoys playing with her toys and belly rubs. Mia is the sweetest soul and when we went on hikes, almost everyone wanted to stop and meet her. The location is great. A few minutes from Bell Rock and plenty of trails, plus all the amenities in the Village of Oak Creek. Even though it was a short sit, I left with so many wonderful memories and I'm grateful to have met Garey, Mia and Harper.
We loved our stay in Edinburgh. Georgie and Molly are sweet and easy to care for, and Louise made sure we had everything we needed. Edinburgh is east to navigate by bus and there’s a bus stop at the bottom of the hill. (Louise will teach you which bus to take if you don’t want to or can’t walk up the hill.) I do really miss Georgie as I don’t have a dog at home and she was such great company. 💜
We had the pleasure of taking care of Mac, Rhu, and ‘Naners while Suzy and Ken were away fishing. Their lovely home, with its stunning ocean views, is perfectly situated in the heart of Port McNeill. The house was fully stocked, and we especially enjoyed using the hot tub during our stay. Mac and Rhu are an adorable pair, and it was delightful to explore Port McNeill with them. They make great hiking companions and also loved relaxing on the deck with us during warm summer evenings. ‘Naners, though a bit elusive, is a very cute kitty, and we enjoyed the time we spent with her. We had a wonderful petsitting experience at Suzy and Ken’s home, and we look forward to the opportunity to return in the future!
I had such a nice stay with Frances. She’s a super cute kitty, curious and loving. Sometimes she would greet me at the front door. She likes to have her chin and whiskers brushed and she loves to play. We totally connected. Lisa’s home is warm, her back yard is lovely, the shower is great and the bed is super comfortable. Nice location as well. I walked to Whole Foods to pick up a few items. I would definitely stay again to get my Frances fix!
We had a great time looking after Luke and Vader over the weekend 😊
