Looking after Trooper in Pleasanton was a delight. He is a gentle and affectionate dog and we enjoyed our hikes right out of the door to the local trails. Vikki and Charlie were so welcoming and made everything easy for my stay. The yard is a beautiful little oasis of calm with the pool and hot tub to make you feel super relaxed and spoiled! I would happily sit for this family again.
Mighty Mouse is such a chilled cat. He is a great company and very easy to care for. He's very outdoorsy, so he will prefer to be outside rather than inside with you haha but no need to worry, he'll always come back! Like Mighty, Lucie and Chris are a very laid back and relaxed couple with a beautiful daughter and an amazing house! I had a great two weeks stay and would definitely house sit for them again!
I had the most amazing week at Vincent's with Lucy and the gang. Lucy is the sweetest walking compagnon which is lucky cause as my first time in Rome I needed one :) She's a pleasure to walk and always keeps you in her view in the park even when she goes running to stretch her legs. Minnie, Mortimer and Buddy were the cuddliest wfh partners I could've asked for. And finally Munchie, she's very clear about when she wants space and when she wants some love. She's incredible at coming back when you call her during her little wanderings outside. Location wise Vincent's flat is great! A walk down the hill will get you to all the sights and if you don't want to walk up there's several bus options less than 5 minutes away. There's also 2 super markets and pharmacies right around the corner. Vincent is super communicative and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I'd happily go back anytime for more cuddles and walks with Lucy and the family :)
I had the pleasure of looking after three adorable cats named Betsy, Jasper, and Lola in the charming town of Gerrard's Cross. The house was absolutely lovely, providing a cosy and welcoming environment for both me and the furry companions. Betsy, Jasper, and Lola were an absolute delight to care for, each with their own unique personalities and were extremely friendly as soon as I walked through the door. Matt and Jo had prepared a meticulously detailed document with everything you could possibly need to know (which I referred to a number of times) and was extremely handy. I highly recommend this pet sitting opportunity to anyone looking for a rewarding and delightful experience.
We spent a great time in the apartment of Klárka and her family. We felt so welcomed, entrusted, taken care of and got great instructions and welcome guide. Klarka is very kind and helpfull person in all ways. We felt like we were visiting our good friends, who we know for long time. The apartment is a magical place, where Earth respecting phylosophy breaths in every corner. We felt really comfortable there. Marvin is really relaxed cat. He loves his relax and also needs to feel the company of people. Marvin was absolutely easy going cat. We really enjoyed our stay in Prague and it was enriching to meet Klarka and her family for a while, they are wonderful and inspiring people. We can highly recommend this sit and we would definitely like to go back there ourselves! Thank you once again!
We had an exceptional experience here for five days. Alex was very clear in his communications and his written instructions for the house and pet care and it felt as if we were being welcomed by family. Rocky and Rosie are absolutely adorable pets, each with their own unique personality. We will definitely miss them! After a not so great experience with another daycare service; I took my Maltipoo Malcolm to Pumpkin Paws Pet Service. I wanted to socialize my 6 month old puppy in a safe environment. Well, we got that and more. Once they saw Malcolm was relatively reserved, they busted out a ball toy. Malcolm LOVES balls. That’s all he needed to get him going. Malcolm had such a good time here. The other dogs were friendly as well, so I never felt my little guy would be physically harmed. They post pictures and videos. They are communicative. I am Sadden that we moved away and are unable to visit Pumkin Paws again. I have not been able to find another safe and welcoming daycare for my little guy since. Thank you Pumpkin Paws!!

My wife and I have had a wonderful experience with Pumkin Paws! They have taken wonderful care of our Goldendoodle. They have been really flexible. Our needs change weekly and they have adjusted their walks as necessary. The staff is friendly and courteous and we have never thought twice about allowing them in our home.
My daughter is new to this place but she seems happy with them. Today was a good day for my daughters dog leia seems to be coming along. Chad sent my son in law a video of leia getting along with the other dogs. I think that was great.

My pup can be a bit of a handful so I was a bit nervous about finding a walker for her, but I knew from the moment I met Pedro that she would be in good hands! We had Pedro dog-sit our 2 dogs at our wedding recently at Wave Hill in the Bronx. He was TREMENDOUS! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog sitter. He was amazing to work with and such a great guy. He took phenomenal care of our dogs (1 big dog and 1 little dog). The dogs were honestly upset to be leaving his care at the end of the night. Pedro was a class act. He dressed incredibly well and was such a pleasure to work with. We were so happy we found him!

Pedro and Vincent have been walking my large, lazy dog for nearly 2 years. He is professional, flexible and easy to work with. He is always cheerful and pleasant and really cares about our dog. Our dog can be quite resistant to getting off the couch to walk during the day - especially in the summer or if it's raining - and Hot Paws can always get him happily out the door. They are awesome and a real asset to the neighborhood!
I hired Pedro to take care of my GSD while I was working out of state. Pedro did an excellent job taking care of my pride and joy. He promptly gave me updates every time he completed a walk and kept me up to date on his mood. I even got to FaceTime with my dog which I think help put both our minds at ease. My boy Goose loves going with the Well Rounded Hound team for the day! The days of the week he’s going with them, he’s constantly looking out the window for the bus to arrive. You can tell this crew loves the dogs they look after every day. My dog gets to socialize with other pups while spending all morning and afternoon outside.. the pick up and drop off service is so great! The staff is super friendly and patient with my hyper boy. I can’t say enough good things, my dog always comes back home nice and pooped!

I am so happy my friend referred me to well rounded hound! The people are so wonderful with the dogs especially with my Bella. I never had any issues with anyone or with the other dogs. In the beginning, I even tracked Bella to see if she was ok. And of course she was having the best time ever. I communicate a lot with Jackie and she is absolutely the best. They way she greets the dogs and says goodbye to them is so cute. I couldn’t be happier and neither can Bella. I highly recommend them.
I’ve used paws and play twice now for boarding. My dog is incredibly happy whenever I pick her up and it’s clear that the folks working here really love dogs. I just dropped her off for another stay, and Chris came around and scooped her up with no issues at all, which is the first time I’ve ever dropped her off for boarding without her having any sort of separation anxiety. I could not recommend this place more
I was nervous for a longer overnight stay for our Yorkie, it was his first time. The staff was incredible and on top of it. We booked the regular kennel crates but our pup had never been in a crate before and after the first night they noticed our pup was in distress and we were out of country and they went into action and moved him to a private room automatically to settle him for the rest of his stay. We were so appreciative they took special care and attention to him while we were gone. Then the next time we came back from an overnight stay Teddy SPRINTED to the door and was SO excited to be back 🥹😍. We knew he felt comfortable there and we will keep coming back.
We have been using paws and play since it’s inception for our Airedale Brody. The owner Matt along with his staff has always been very responsible and is always caring for each dog that arrives. The staff is polite, courteous and always is happy to see Brody giving him a huge Welcome every time he arrives. Brody responds immediately when Paws and Play is mentioned and can’t wait to jump in the car and start his day!! He loves the experience and we couldn’t be happier with the care he gets. The best ever and couldn’t ask for more !!!
This was our first time boarding our dog with Paws & Play and we couldnt have been happier! The immediate warmth upon greeting by several staff helped our anxious pup and the check in process was smooth and easy. We loved how we could scroll daily photos of the dogs and see how our guy was doing! Our dog can be slow to warm up but he did really well and we heard stories at check out of him playing with some new friends! I would definitely recommend this Resort to anyone with a dog they want to know will be in great hands! The add on features are great and the space was super clean. Also he came home smelling so good! Thanks Paws & Play! Will be back for sure.

I left my dog for two days in boarding while I was out of state. When I picked up my dog he had a bloody lip and a cut. I called to ask what happened and staff was adamant that 'nothing happened' and he was never in any altercation with other dogs at the facility. When I brought my dog to the vet, they stated that he was definitely cut by something. Upon finding out this information, the staff at paws and play stated that my dog must have 'done it to himself' when he was groomed. Now, I'd like to state that i have a very rough dog who doesn't know his own size and strength. I don't doubt that he probably cut himself on a crate or while he was being groomed. My issue is that this was never brought to my attention. They claimed they 'didn't notice' the cut upon his departure. I believe they don't check the dogs before they leave, which is a huge issue because they don't stay with the dogs overnight. How can they be sure the dog is 100% okay? I have no ill will towards the staff or establishment, I just believe this was unprofessional. But, I'm glad my dog is okay and that all it was was a small cut. This could have been avoided had someone just let me know about the cut. I hope they begin to keep owners informed and not just in the dark about their dogs.
We bring our dog here 1x/week to get him out of the house and with other dogs. He has loved it from the very first day and gets so excited any time my husband drops him off (and doesn’t like leaving when I get him haha). The staff is always so kind and you can tell they each truly love the dogs that go there. They know so many by the owners that pick them up and always say great things about our dog. They are a gem! We are sending our dog for boarding in April and had tons of questions and Tiffany answered each one and took her time to make sure I was comfortable knowing everything about how that side of their business works!
I can not overstate how fantastic Paws and Play is! Our buddy Charlie goes there for daycare once a week and for boarding a few times a year. We hate when we have to travel without him, but we never worry about him because we know he is loved and cared for by the crew at Paws and Play. The staff is wonderful - sweet, caring and super capable. The operation is organized and professional. The staff clearly has the expertise and experience to safely handle the dogs they care for and the facility is the best in the area by far, immaculately clean with beautiful boarding rooms and fun play areas. I respect and appreciate that Paws and Play has strictly enforced rules (vaccinations, reservations, etc.) for the safety of all the dogs. Thanks to everyone at Paws and Play for giving Charlie such a great place to hang out!

Love the Perfect Pooch. I found them through Google and Yelp reviews and the reviews are so accurate. I was so worried as a new dog owner and they treat my dog with such care. They started watching him before he was fully vaccinated so more pet sitting and they were fantastic. I got tons of updates and pics and they truly care for the pets. They’re great about notes and requests and did a great job feeding him and keeping him entertained. I most recently tried their overnight service which was fantastic and didn’t disrupt my puppy’s routine. I always feel like my dog is cared for by folks (especially Joy!) who love dogs and take extra care to treat my puppy with kindness -highly recommended.
Leeland takes such good care of our 2 big pups! Her walkers are caring and detailed. My dogs love them and look forward walks with licks and kisses. We receive photos from each outing!
Maggie is pure joy. She's also a 55lb diva who needs a long walk every day to keep her being a pure joy as my workday co-pilot. I had a scary experience with a solo dog walker, and then I found Leeland, who heads the Perfect Pooch. Lili, Gable, Raeven and sometimes Leland herself walk Maggie both alone, and sometimes with great buddies. I've seen them outside from a distance, and know how Maggie is super excited when it's time for their arrival. Maya stayed with Maggie while we were away, too. I feel confident and very comfortable knowing Maggie gets her walk (no matter the weather). The portal is very easy to use for communication, and payment, too.
I have been using perfect pooch for cat sitting for several months now. They have watched our cats during several trips. It is easy to schedule via their app, they are reliable, take good care of our cats, and always send follow up notes and pictures. As an added bonus - they also leave our apartment tidy - vacuuming up litter and taking out the cat food tins.
We moved to the UWS fulltime in 2022 and are so grateful to have found Leeland and her team at The Perfect Pooch. They are caring, professional, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. It gives us such peace of mind to know our pup is in their hands for walks, boarding, and dog sitting.

New to the city and have been using the perfect pooch for over a month and weve been so happy. They use an app to message, schedule, and share all the happenings including real time mapped walks, timestamped visits, photos and a sweet message from the walker. Leeland the business owner is wonderful and communicative and came to meet our dog and then set up a meet up with our incredible primary walker Rheanna! Rheanna has been so great with our dog Finley, so respectful of our space and just an all around great person. Thank you for all you do for Finley!
As a very satisfied customer of the Perfect Pooch for a few years now, I have relied upon them for overnight pet sitting, walks, and at-home puppy sitting for three of my large breed dogs. I am so incredibly grateful to have them in my life. Leeland is a joy to work with, and the walkers are highly skilled, well trained, loving, and perennially punctual. However, an even higher recommendation comes from my dogs—they are so happy to see the walkers when they arrive that they completely forget I exist.
My experience with The Perfect Pooch has been overly positive. The business owner is very responsive, and helps to do all booking, scheduling, payment, and messaging through a commonly used app. All employees have been trustworthy in my home, including the business owner who shares in the workload during busy weekends. Employees are largely detail oriented as well as cat-friendly and very patient even in the face of very shy cats who can lock themselves in a room.
I've been using The Perfect Pooch NYC for about a year now, and they take the BEST care of my little chihuahua! He was a COVID puppy, so I hadn't had to leave him with a walker/sitter before, but Leeland and her team are so professional, caring, and warm that I felt comfortable instantly. My dog be a little feisty (to put it nicely) but he adores his walker Ashley, and she keeps him happy and in check on their daily Central Park walks. I've also used them for overnight boarding, and was so impressed with the quality of care and updates. Can't recommend Leeland, Ashley, and the Perfect Pooch team enough!
I read the reviews of Uncle Shawns and I decided to book an appointment for my puppy's first time grooming experience. I booked it a few days ago for this morning. I showed up there on time this morning but Uncle Shawn was nowhere to be found and didn't call me back. I called a few times. Twenty minutes later he did call me back but I had already left by then. He told me that he would meet me in front of the house and I can give him the dog. I told him that I'm not going to just drop off the dog in front of the house, for all I know "Uncle Shawn" could be some random guy. So I never did get to Uncle Shawn's grooming service. He might be very good. Most of his reviews are good but the two that I read that aren't, are very, very bad; but it's clear that he doesn't prioritize this business. Maybe he needs to understand that a business requires responsibilities and he needs to be more on the same page with his clients. If I'm paying him $100 he needs to be much more present and at least have some idea when my appointment is.
As a result of my experience with zen animals, I was referred to Uncle Shawn‘s Petcare by my veterinarian technician, daughter! Nowadays it’s nice to feel comfortable with whom you entrust with the care of your pets. Although I had to travel from Brooklyn to the Bronx, it was worth the trip! The two pups, Prince and Sugar were well groomed and they didn’t appeared to be traumatized from being there! Happy to be picked up as one would expect but well cared for by Shawn! So you see it truly makes a difference when people who provide a service do so with their utmost care and respect of persons and PETS too! I will be travel the distance again to Uncle Shawn’s place when the time comes for them to get groomed in the future if I don’t take them to Atlanta to my nephew’s shop to get groomed before I myself attempt to, do-it-myself!!!!!!! My wife and I struggled to find a groomer for our dog today. After a long search on Google, we found Uncle Shawn's Petcare. Shawn did an excellent job with the grooming, exactly as we had instructed. It took only about an hour, whereas other salons usually take at least two hours. We were impressed with how Shawn handled our dog. In other salons, our dog would come out very tired (we suspected they sedate our dog), but with Shawn, our dog was just as active as before. Shawn offers the best value for money, charging less than commercial salons while delivering high-quality service. Shawn knows how to handle dogs well. Shawn has a grooming van and can come to your place.
Shawn was very gentle and kind with my sick dog. My pup never cried or pulled away. These are before and after pics. The cut was even, and natural, the way I wanted it. I would highly recommend him.
This is my Chihuahua OB that Uncle Shawn's Petcare Shawn and Crystal the owners gross negligence killed on June 26th 2024 Come to find out that they don't have a business license and insurance for some time As of this date now 6/16/24 This company still has been negligent by dealing with my woes. I'm doing litigation through the courts the local news And talking with the ADA of possible criminal charges. Sad UNCLE SHAWN'S PETCARE
Took my yorkie "chase" to Shawn showed him a picture of the cut I wanted on him. Left and came back and the cut was exactly what I wanted. Shawn was very personable and gave chase an amazing cut. I highly recommend him for the cut you want for your dog.
I made an appointment for 4:15 today and when I arrived at the location they had a sign that said “Don’t ring bell, call Shawn’s cell”. I called about 5 times and did not get anyone. It’s been a good 20 mins and I was standing outside waiting for someone to come around and meet me to groom my dog. I even sent a text saying i was here and that I’m calling and not getting anyone. Very weird to have an appointment and not have anyone answer or show up. Definitely a fake business or a scam. Please avoid these people.
Uncle Shawn's Petcare is amazing, genuine, comfortable, tender and of course professional. We apologize for the delay in this review so busy lately. Our boy Rottweiler mix 1yr 3mos was so pleased in April 2022, (after he realized he wasn't going into the wash place of doggie horror 😆)when he had a different experience for being in a grooming place with a kennel. It was no distractions and calm energy given. We truly have found a real groomer who is compassionate in his profession. Appreciate your time, work, travel and care Uncle Shawn 🐾💌✨pet are for us‼️
I took my shih tzu bella to Shawn and he did an awesome job..he was very professional and to top it off he gave her a walk. I am definitely recommending him to my friends.
Simply fantastic He's a professional and I appreciate him for taking excellent care our pets which in reality is family. And you know it's always a must to have family taken care of with upmost care.
