What a lovely time I had caring for Norman, Nelly, Pippin and Percy. Sara, Gary and the girls made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived at the house (and at our facetime meeting) .contact throughout the week was very good, via Whatsapp. The house is lovely and comfortable and the garden is a great space for reading in the afternoon sun. All of the animals have great personalities. The elusive Nelly didn’t come in for the first two nights despite me whistling and rattling the Dreamies bag, but for the rest of the week she joined me on the bed through the night. When Norman was indoors he was usually sleeping somewhere close to me. Pippin and Percy are low maintenance and enjoy cuddles and being out in the garden in their enclosures. As a sitter I never expect hosts to provide food during my stay, but Sara and Gary left an abundance of fresh food which was greatly received. I walked everyday during the sit. Some days walking straight from the front door and finding some circular routes and other days driving to Nessclife Woods or Lake Vyrnwy. The town of Oswestry is close by. My daughter joined me for the last evening and we joined the Shrewsbury Prison tour which is highly recommended. I would like to say a big thank you for allowing me the opportunity to stay in your home and I would highly recommend this sit, myself or Sarah would like to complete a sit here again.
Great sit @Crystal and Joel The house is immaculately maintained and equipped with everything you could need (even food processor)! The home is located in a residential area, surrounded by beautiful and unspoiled nature which offers a variety of outdoor activities. Miss Goldie Hawn is by far the most affectionate dog I know. She wants to be arround her people all the time (she understands well though that sitting on furniture is not allowed). When walking on the lead, she will be checking/sniffing on what is important for her but without pulling. The tigerrr will let you know when he wants attention - or food 😄. He will observe but mostly prefers a distance. He plays for a little while but wants respect once he withdraws. Thank you Crystal and Joel for a wonderful stay! 💐
This was a great, short sit in Lucerne. The location was perfect as you had easy access to the city, tourist spots, and the beautiful lake. Gabriela was well organized and sent me all the information I needed ahead of time. Giorgio is such a sweet, loving cat. While he ran under the bed upon my arrival, it didn’t take him long to get used to me. He allows you to pet him whenever you want and will let you know if he wants more attention. I loved it in the mornings when I would wake up, he would be there on the floor right beside me looking at me and would greet me right away wanting snuggles. I would recommend this sit for all the cat lovers!
Clem was a typical puppy, live wire and keen to learn what was right and wrong. She loved a kiss and cuddle with me and play on her games. She is very bright and responded well to requests. Loved going out for some exciting walks , she was keen to stay away from other dogs She was excellent and well behaved on the train which was a preferred method of travel as the location was perfect for exploring as the station was only a short walk away Easy to get to lovely locations along south coast. But on occasion's she could be snappy - didn’t like surprises from legs and bikes She is still teething so important to pay attention to what she was doing especially in car and lounge Shops also close by - so sit could easily be done by someone without a car Fiona and family made me feel very welcome and communicated well before, during and after sit
I took care of cat Rumi ( as dog Lluna was on holiday). Rumi is a sweetheart who will keep you company as he thinks he is a dog (-; He follows around to observe. I really liked spending time with him. A big thank you to Hannah and her partner who are very good hosts.Very friendly and communication is very easy. I will happily look after Rumi (and lluna) again!
