Melanie and David are a very interesting couple who cared for our 2 dogs and 3 cats for 10 days. They were great about sending daily pictures to us of our pets enjoying their normal activities while we were away. They also kindly agreed to take us to and from the airport for our flights, which was much appreciated. As my husband shares an interest in wines with them, they left a nice wine book for him at the end of their stay. Most importantly our pets were happy and healthy upon our return home.
Luc looked after our house, garden and pets for 4 weeks over the summer and did a brilliant job. He looked after our elderly cat, 3 guinea pigs and our chicken. We spoke on skype and met him prior to our departure and we felt very comfortable leaving the house and animals in his care. He looked after our house and pets as his own. When we returned our cat was relaxed and happy, the guinea pigs had a clean hutch and were very jolly and the chicken didn’t even notice we had gone. He loves the company of animals and it shows. He also had to administer medicine daily to our cat Hanno which can be quite difficult at times but he did this brilliantly and also thought about giving him new treats to encourage him to eat a bit more. It was important for us for the animals to have someone around during the day so the fact that Luc was working from home was just perfect. The house has been very well looked and it was a pleasure to get back home. Thank you! Communication whilst we were away was very good (regular and with photos) Luc is excellent house sitters; we were able to enjoy our holiday in the knowledge that all was taking care of. Our family wishes him all the best for his future house sitting assignments and we hope that he ( with his partner this time) will be able to housesit for us again.
