A very big thank you to Napier and Laura for taking a chance on us as first timer house sitters with this site - we loved every moment of looking after their lovely East Sussex cottage and especially Leto and Nyx, their lovely whipplets. Apart from being charming, friendly, generous and welcoming hosts, their cottage is traditional, but modernised and enchanting, the village and the surrounding area has so many interesting places to visit and rural woodland walks, and the dogs are delightful. Leto and Nyx have been wonderfully trained, you can take them with you anywhere. We ventured out with them on many day trips, including Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Brighton, Rye, Lewes, Hastings, Rochester, Mayfield, Crowborough, Scotney Castle, Bodium Castle, Lamb House, The Monks House and Batemans, which are all within an easy drive of the cottage. The dogs have extremely good manners and are very patient. Napier made his expectations clear and provided great instructions about caring for the dogs. It was particularly important as Leto had a 4 week old injury that still needed vet treatment every few days and we needed to know what to do. He gave us keys to his car, a full tank of gas, and showed us around the nearest town and all the dogs walks around Bewl Water. Our room at the main house was private, spacious and very comfortable - they even kindly offered for us to use anything in their cupboards and fridge. Honestly, we can't recommend sitting for Napier and Laura enough. We've made wonderful friends, had the best time with their adorable pets and can't wait to return.
I had wonderful sit here, the house is stunning and the local area tranquil and beautiful, just what I needed! The dogs were gorgeous and very accepting and loveable. I really enjoyed walking them with walks right from the front door:) The cats were exceptionally friendly, Katsu even followed us on a walk! Loads to do in the local area and lots of good places to shop and eat out. Iβd say you would need a car or you could feel a bit stuck, its a bit of a walk to the train station but it is doable. Thanks so much Jenny and Phillip for being such great hosts and trusting me with with your fabulous pets!
We had the pleasure to stay at Louise & Andrew's home for 4 days and we had a lovely time. Rolo & Frank are the sweetest boys who loves cuddles and playtime and we had so much fun with them! Louise and Andrew are both super nice and their home is absolutely wonderful. They were very responsive and communicative prior to and during the stay which was great. They live very close to the Elizabeth line which was very convenient to get into city center and the airport. We miss their pups already and would definitely recommend their home and pups to anyone looking for a great house-sit!
Tammie is an incredibly accommodating host! She is warm and friendly and makes you feel right at home. We kept in touch through our stay, both sharing about our trips. Luna is a loving and cuddly dog inside. Tammie letβs you know how sheβs like outside, and honest about it. Luna is reactive to other dogs, so we enjoyed getting Luna out into the hills where contact with other dogs was small, and Luna LOVED being out and about somewhere different. Tammie also has supportive friends and neighbours near her apartment. Thank you Tammie and Luna - we loved our first stay in Switzerland!
The house and property was wonderful. Friendly dogs and horses and a beautiful area. Everything was well explained and neighbours were very helpful. Would highly recommend!
Maddy and Dan were extremely hospitable and very clear communicators. They have a great condo in a great area! Dom is the chillest dog in the world and an awesome walking and hiking buddy! He loves to cuddle up and is not afraid to snore. Bija is very easy to take care of and very cute. I would absolutely sit for them again!
