One of my best experiences so far! I enjoyed Lisa's style of communication. I felt comfortable asking about/for anything that was on my mind or I struggled with. And Lisa was always there to explain and help. It was truly fun texting with you, thank you for that, Lisa! The cats are adorable. Emil is such a gentle warm force. Really talkative. And Sven is ready to play when you are. The both together make a harmonious team. Sven has the tendency to scratch at the wall or at doors at night at this moment of time. So, it's possible you'll wake up from that. For me it wasn't a problem because I didn't have to go to work in the morning and am a good sleeper. I recommend bringing ear plugs with you. Just in case ;-) Or ask Lisa before the sit if it's still an issue. Since they are working on dissolving this habit. The flat is so comfy and bright. A true gem. And the terrace is a treasure! This sit is really amazing for anyone who wants to enjoy the city and have a quiet space to relax and get some sunshine. Also the location is perfect if you want to explore the city. I hope to come again!
I loved the location in a small and lively village, by the water, with boardwalks and hills to march around, wild flamingoes to gawp at and plenty to explore within an hour's drive. If that wasn't enough, Sheila, Elvis and Tiger made this sit extra special...Sheila is warm and engaging, treating me to a delicious dinner and breakfast, as well as ensuring I had absolutely everything I might conceivably need, before heading off. 'The Boys' were initially simply happy with the provision of food but after a day or two became more affectionate and by the end of the sit were both sharing the bed. They have very different but equally sweet personalities and 'talk' often, taking it in turns to keep me company in the evenings. Thank you, all, for a fabulous time. It will be a joy to return at Christmas!
Highly recommend this pet/house sit! Frisco is an adorable, intelligent dog who is easy to love and care for. He enjoyed going for walks in the neighborhood, as well as chasing and barking at squirrels in the front and back yard. At night, Frisco likes to sleep and snuggle in the master bed. Sarah and Ian were very easy to work with. Very clear and easy-to-follow instructions from Sarah. Their house is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely sit for Frisco again! Thank you Sarah and Ian!
We had a wonderful stay. This a very idyllic and beautiful location. Susannah and all the other staff and tenants at the property were very kind and welcoming. The 4 dogs are all so lovable and sweet. If you book this sit you definitely need to be comfortable with managing large dogs. Sybil the Great Dane is young and can be a handful. She loves getting things off the counters, intensely playfighting with Scotty, digging into the couches, and so on. She also absolutely loves to cuddle and is a real sweetheart. We miss her and all the other pups dearly!
We loved staying at Deena and Terry’s. Deena and I had a good amount of clear communication prior to our sit, which allowed us to feel very welcomed into their sweet home. Mr Fuzzy and Maxwell were precious, each in their own unique way, and we missed them both after we left. We highly recommend this sit for kitty lovers. Thanks for trusting us!
We truly enjoyed the time we spent with Islay at Nicole’s house! This was our first time taking care of a Scottish Terrier and we loved it. Nicole and Ian are really welcoming and generous and made us feel at home right from the second we stepped into their house. We confirmed this sit many months in advance and Nicole made sure to keep in touch. During our sit, we continued to exchange messages and Nicole updated us on anything that was relevant. Now the star of the show: Islay! She is such a sweet and smart girl. She's well trained and has a structured routine which makes it very easy and enjoyable to take care of her. She responds to commands and loves going for walks. As Nicole mentioned to us, Islay gets too excited when she sees other dogs, so we just planned our walks during off-peak hours and made sure to keep an eye on other dogs at the park or on he street. Their house is very close to a beautiful park by the water, which created a really nice setting for our walks with Islay. Thank you Nicole & Ian for opening your house and letting us take care of Islay. We look forward to hearing how it goes with the new puppy, Whiskey. We’d definitely pet sit Islay again. Happy holidays!
