We had a loverly evening with Julie, Yancey and young Sky learning about their travels. They are fantastic family, we cant recommend the enough, Ozzie was very well looked after. We would welcome them back anytime.
Laura and Ian's home is a relaxed and stylish country cottage with plenty of space in a fabulous location close to Henley yet in the countryside with plenty of walks nearby. Prior communication was good and the instructions we were given were clear. Hetty and Sybil were delightful. Although sisters they have very different personalities and we enjoyed getting to know them and figuring out their likes (chin tickles) and dislikes (being inside too much). We were probably over anxious about the cats and the road outside so kept them in more than normal I suspect, but we loved their company and I hope they liked their temporary humans. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this sit and we'd love to return should Hetty & Sybil approve. The only reason it's not 5 stars on this occasion is because we were arriving in our campervan and couldn't park on the drive as arranged because the family car was left by mistake and we felt somewhat left to figure out a solution ourselves, speaking with neighbours to check out suitable alternative parking. However it should be reiterated that this was a unique situation with a 6.3 m campervan and I'm sure, a one off problem.
We had such a wonderful time taking care of sweet Mushi and Nemo. We felt more than a little sad leaving our new friends behind this time around. These sweet girls were so easy to take care of and they were so loving towards us and our fur baby Loki. Loki definitely gained a new pack of friends, they will forever be his girls! We would love to sit for them again in the future. James and Cecilia are generous and very nice hosts. They made us feel welcomed and very comfortable in their home. They provided a detailed guide book and also left us detailed instructions at the sit. They were always available if we had any questions or concerns. We were so glad to spend time with them before their departure. We highly recommend them to any sitter who are lucky enough to care for them. Thank you again for having us!
I cannot recommend sitting for Alesia enough! Modi is such a loving and gentle dog who you can’t help falling in love with! He is so easy to walk and really is the best companionship you could wish for as a sitter. We became such good friends and quickly became inseparable. I miss our cuddles! He truly is the best dog. And Alesia is such a heartfelt person – so genuine and down to earth. From the first time speaking with her on the phone I felt so understanded and completely trusted by her which I really appreciated. Alesia’s apartment is absolutely beautiful and my stay at Roosevelt Island was amazing. The place was spotless when I arrived, and it honestly felt like entering a hotel suite! Alesia went above and beyond and offered to store my suitcase some time prior to the sit while I was travelling with hand luggage. Such a huge help! Her generosity was exceptional, the communication with her was easy and I appreciate her kindness before, during and even after the sit. I really appreciate everything she has done for me, and I’m so grateful that she trusted me to come take care of Modi despite me coming all the way from Denmark. I highly recommend sitting for Alesia to anyone! Best dog, best human, best everything!
Sheelah and Oyvind were fabulous hosts who really went above and beyond to make our stay with their furry family a great experience. Their three fur babies, Maverick, Saskia and Coco were great company and very friendly pussy cats. Their house is in a gorgeous part of the country which allowed us to do plenty of sightseeing and walking through the countryside. Would be most happy to spend time with Sheelah and Oyvind and look after their three kitty cats again sometime in the future. Cheers Simon & Di
This is a very good sit. Condo is comfortable, and in a very convenient location with lots of things in walking distance. Sam was easy to chat with and clear in his instructions. Dexter and Luna are pretty fabulous. Luna was a little stand-offish at first. Dexter is gorgeous and was happy to let me pet him right away, but I did definitely struggle in getting him to take his medication. The pill was hidden inside a beautiful piece of tuna that I would've been happy to eat myself had it been offered to me, but he just would sniff at it and walk away. I continued to offer it throughout the day. I finally had success just laying it in front of him on the floor and pretending to ignore him. By the last morning of my stay, I awoke to find both kitties snuggled in my bed with me, so I think they just need a little time to adjust. Shame my sit was over by the time they were getting comfortable. Would gladly do this one again!
Cass and Dean made me feel very comfortable, and I am happy about this sitting experience. Zozo is a delighted and friendly dog. She could run very fast all around the 18-hole golf course early in the morning, and whenever she saw dogs, she was very friendly. She was always very affectionate and loved getting lots of cuddles and scratches on her belly. Every time after returning from the walk, I hosed down Zozo, which she loved. Zozo and Presley have entirely different personalities, but they play together well during the day. Presley is a relaxed, totally chilled dog. He likes getting scratches under his chin. I enjoyed looking after them during my stay. The house is next to the golf course on a street with many beautiful trees: a highly recommended house sit.
