Kathryn is very self sufficient and tidy. I really appreciated coming back home and it being exactly like I had left it. I was nervous since this was my first time using a long stay pet sitter, but she was quick to respond to any questions I had. I didn't hear from her super often while I was gone, but everything was perfect when I got home. Thanks Kathryn!
Henry was an absolute delight to sit for, so affectionate and sweet. The house was beautiful and comfortable, with all that you would want/need for a stay. The location was easily accessible East Austin, with bike lanes and bus transport. If you have a car, it's a short drive to the Central Austin. Would highly recommend this sit to anyone!
Ellie's hospitality and home is amazing. The cabin is a converted outbuilding on an old sheep farm. It is warm and cozy in every way. The large picture window / door has an incredible view of the English countryside, a small village and the American Museum, and it overlooks a little hutch for chickens and another for bunnies - super cute! The area is paradise with long beautiful walks down the quiet lane, and more challenging paths along the river at the bottom of the hill. The neighbors and the pub down the way are really great too. Bath is best known for its Roman Baths (a must see), and is also not far from Bristol. There's a cobbler just next door to the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, so I was even able to have my boots completely resoled while I toured and shopped. Storm and Digger are super sweet! Storm is a little older so she likes to decide how long to walk. Walking at her pace and giving her special attention goes a long way in making her feel loved. Digger is also super friendly and he loves to run. He loves going through the gate to play fetch with the ball. Every once in a while I would fake throw the ball to have Digger run after it, then pitch it gently to little Storm so she could be a part of the game - such great fun! I would highly recommend this to anyone with a car who loves the countryside and short drives into town for touring about.
An amazing experience! Michele is simply outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home thanks to her attention and hospitality. She picked us up from the train station and took us to the supermarket, making sure we had everything we needed before her departure. The house was spotless and equipped with all the comforts we could wish for a perfect stay. But the highlight of our experience was meeting Kina, Michele's lovely dog. We formed a special bond with her and still miss her since we said goodbye. Taking care of her was a true pleasure and enriching experience. We highly recommend Michele and her home 100%. It was one of the most memorable months of our lives, thanks to her care, kindness, and Kina's wonderful company. We definitely plan to visit them again soon. Thank you for this unforgettable experience!
What a lovely warm welcome from Chris and Kathryn and instantly made to feel at home. Introduced to the gorgeous pups Fergal and Bree who were so bouncy and friendly. Fergal is older but still has those puppy dog eyes and Bree was like Tigger, would bounce all day long. Chris gave us a tour of the house so we knew where everything was. House was spotless and everything you could wish for in a well appointed kitchen. Been housesitting for over 6 years and haven't had a view from our bedroom like this one! Stunning views over Dartmoor. Chris and Kathryn took us to their local dog walking spot so we were acquainted with the area and had a delicious dinner with them before they went on holiday the next day. We could quite happily have sat chatting to them all night, both naturally friendly and interesting. Dogs were so well behaved when we were on our walks. Fergal walking almost to heel and Bree only going a few yards ahead, never out of sight, before bouncing back to join us. Cracking recall, no issues with other dogs and when at home always curling up beside us on the couch. For us, everything you could wish for in a housesit, lovely pups, friendly, welcoming owners and a beautiful, immaculate house. Would definitely go back depending on our travels and would recommend to anyone.

My Labrador, Lucy, absolutely loves Camp Happy Tails!! The staff instills confidence, is knowledgeable and truly cares about each dog. The natural atmosphere on a mountain side has got to be a blast for Lucy! To top it off, on site grooming with lots of extra care makes this one of my favorite places For Lucy.
Lisa and her team are the nicest, most competent and loving dog caretakers. I always trust that my pup is in good hands. I have used her services for years and will always keep coming back to camp because I appreciate the quality care.
I dog sit regularly for someone who brought their dog here when I wasn’t available. They put an E collar on her dog while he was there and didn’t tell her until she picked him up. They claim he barked constantly but I’ve never had this issue int he two years I’ve watched this dog. Even at the beginning. In my opinion, you would at least call to get permission OR call with that update. Not wait until the dog is picked up and put it into the notes section of his stay. Poor service in my opinion.
Great place to leave your dog for a governor or daycare. They deliver and pick up your dog too which makes it way convenient! If your dog needs socialization with people or other dogs, this is the perfect place to send them! Trust worthy staff and great play area in the beautiful redwoods of Felton. I highly recommend camp happy tails for your dog!
I just want to take a minute say that Camp Happy Tails has been great. Lisa has been awesome as well as Courtney. Our little guy (not so little anymore) comes home so happy and worn out. And it's great how they post pictures on Facebook! Couldn't be happier to send our pup there!
Happy Tails is great! We have boarded our dogs there a few times and they love it. No cages and lots if play time with the other dogs. Highly recommend
I really appreciate the services and commitment this business provides for my furry friend while I'm at work.
After after 3 months of getting our dog used to being there periodically, we left her there for 10 days vacation just to get a call after second day to pick her up. They couldnt handle her.
Our dog always come back happy and clean when we board him here. Friendly staff who love dogs.
What an amazing, wonderful and trustworthy place to leave my loved one.
We feel beyond grateful to have found Redwood Romps/Deanna, whom delivers exceptional care to our fur babies! Deanna shows great love and compassion towards both us and our beloved animals. Her communication with us is outstanding. She is reliable and trustworthy as well as knowable in all things dog related. And without a doubt we would recommend her to family and friends! 5+⭐️
Deanna has been absolutely amazing! She’s reliable, trustworthy, a good communicator, knowledgeable on dog behavior and leads with love. She first came by to do a meet & greet & was very thorough in gathering information on my dog & his behavior. Before walks she would notify me when she was on her way and update me on how he’s doing including sending pictures. He could be very timid and anxious and she did a great job working with him to make him feel more at ease. She provides top notch service & I know that any pet in her care is in good hands. I would recommend her to anyone in need of a walker or sitter
Deanna from Redwood Romps has been a reliable, communicative and knowledgeable care taker for our dog Ruby during family trips. We are lucky to be able to rely confidently on the care Deanna provides. It has facilitated family travel and adventures that would have been impossible without good care. Cheers!
My first experience of Deanna was when she graciously took over walking my strong bumptious Aussie pup after I had broken my ankle. I was always confident that she would keep him safe and treat him with the same loving care she gives her own dogs. She has knowledge and experience that she shares happily with me.
Deanna has been walking my pup for 2 years now. She has been amazing with her and always keeps us up to date with what is going on during the walks. I love that twice a week I get a pic of my pup while I'm working, especially when I'm travelling and away from the family.
Deanna's service has been invaluable for our pack of 2 humans and 2 dogs. She is trustworthy, engaged, responsible, a great communicator, and a friend to our dogs. Really appreciate her daily communication, including photos, during longer petsits.
Deanna of Redwood Romps! is an ideal dog walker: sensible, loving, careful, and very professional. My dogs always look forward to seeing her and come home tired and happy. Her rates are reasonable and scheduling is easy and fairly flexible. She goes the extra mile to bring joy and ease to our multi-pet home.
Deanna, with Redwood Romps is very reliable and so very caring with our animals! Our dog, Ginger loves her and Deanna sends us pictures of her on their walks. If you are looking for someone to take care of your animals, I highly recommend Deanna!
Deanna is the best! She is such a treasure to have in our lives, especially Sunny’s. Sunny is a 5 year old dog who has the energy of a puppy. Deanna takes her for interesting walks where she has the opportunity to socialize safely and get some energy out. Deanna is very organized, responsive, and thoughtful also. Highly recommend Redwood Romps for your furry family’s needs.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Redwood Romps! Redwood Romps! are very dog savvy, easy to work with and flexible. I deeply love my dog and she has some special behavioral needs. I absolutely trust Redwood Romps to care for my pup like I do. It shows that Redwood Romps absolutely loves the work they do and there is nothing like working with a passionate, intelligent organization.
Winter does not get along with other animals, especially dogs. Heritage Kennels accommodated us, by keeping her safe and comfortable. Picked her up after an 8 day stay. All's good! Thank you Heritage Kennels.
Heritage Kennel is by far the best place my baby boy Ruckus stayed overnight. Thank you for the wonderful care you gave my baby. We will come back again. I highly recommend it ❤️❤️❤️
Heritage Kennel is our Santa Cruz "go to" location for our dog Chica when we are on vacation. Chica loves Hector and the staff and their care of Chica gives us peace of mind when we are out of town. We have been taking Chica to Heritage Kennel for over 5 years and have always been pleased. Heritage Kennel is the best value for high quality pet care in the Santa Cruz area.
Our dog is genuinely excited when we drop him off, and he never seems even a little traumatized when we get him back. I couldn't ask for anything more. 10/10
Pretty good kennel! My boxer stayed overnight and was her usual happy self when I picked her up. She also ate all her food while she was there, which she sometimes doesn’t. Pick up times weren’t clear enough, that I gave them one less star. It’s just a little ways outside of Santa Cruz and relatively easy to get to. I’d recommend this boarding kennel. Following that stay, I took my dog to Heritage again. This time didn't go so well. I stopped to pick the dog up early and no one was on site. Finally, someone came and when I asked who was watching the dogs he said "The camera's". I understand they are closed from 1-3 pm, but the facility shouldn't be left unattended. During this visit, my dog didn't eat and I wasn't told about it and nothing was done about it. I know she didn't eat bc all of her bones stuck out. She also had a large scratch across her abdomen and nothing was said about that either. I will not board my dog here again.
Been taking my dogs to Heritage Kennel for many years now. They have always taken good care of my dogs and are always friendly. Dogs are happy too!
We have been boarding our beloved Chihuahua at Heritage for roughly 7 or 8 years. He always comes back happy to see us (of course!) and in good condition. The kennels are clean, well kept and Hector requires all vaccinations to be current before accepting an animal. I have never had any complaints or issues. Good people. Good care.
Hector does a great job with my Lily who is shy. She also had an injured knee and later needed surgery and Hector was very careful with her. He comes out to get her when she goes for day-care. I highly recommend Heritage Kennel if you want to know you best friend is in good hands!
My dog Toby loves this place. He is always excited to go there. Unlike other kennels where we need to drag him in because he feels like we are abandoning him. Heritage Kennel is like family to him. He jumps out of the car when we get there and want's to run inside. They really take good care of him.
We have been taking our two large Boxers here for around 10 years. We use them exclusively whenever we go out of town which happens quite often since our family is spread out across the country. My dogs were just there for 15 days while we were on a trip to France. The dogs were happy and healthy when I picked them up. I would not hesitate to recommend this kennel to friends, neighbors, and family. They feed according to our instructions and administer medications as required. Overall a very good well run operation.
