So far, this was our favorite house sit. Steph and Darren were incredibly nice and accommodating to us. We felt like we were visiting family. Their home was super cozy and comfortable and Asheville was a joy to visit. Maggie was a very well-behaved, super personable pup. We had the most amazing time during this housesit. The house is huge, and the views are stunning. Katrien brought us in contact with some of her local friends and so we were able to build some amazing friendships as well. Apart from that the cats were sweet and adorable. Nifi is still young and very active and playful. Moape on the other hand is a calm old man who likes to take it easy, but cuddles are always welcome. Katrien and Phillipe let us stay a few days longer (it was hard to find another stay during Semana Santa, the Colombians are crazy during this time of year) and they are just the sweetest. They even brought us beautiful gifts from their travels. In short, this was an amazing housesit and we were a bit sad it was over after only a month. The time just flew by! We hope to housesit again for them in the future, but I’m sure that we will keep contact, housesit or no!
Madison and her handsome Bali boy were so much fun! Madison is relaxed and so easy to communicate with. She left detailed instructions, was immediately responsive to my questions, and very thoughtful. Her home was neat, comfortable, and well appointed. She provided a tour before she left, so I knew where to find everything I might need. She lives in a very special neighborhood… pretty and clean... with something new to experience every single day… and a sweet companion, too! It was just what my heart needed. Bali is such a good boy! He maintains eye contact whether on leash or off, and is so well-behaved. Even when he’s doing his favorite thing in the world (on the beach with his ball) he is a good sport and will come along amiably when it’s time to go. On many occasions he elicited smiles from everyone we passed because he insisted on carrying his ball all the way home. He is still such a puppy with boundless energy, but also an old soul at heart. Just look into his eyes and he’s pure love. I so enjoyed exploring with him… you can take him anywhere including restaurants… he is so polite! If you like walkable neighborhoods, this is it! You can easily go in any direction… to the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Point, to the amazing Palace of Fine Arts for the stunning landscape, to all the fun shops and restaurants on Chestnut, and even to Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, and Pier 39. Don’t miss Fort Mason for the Food Trucks on Friday, and the Farmer’s Market on Sunday. And parks… there are dog friendly parks everywhere! I already miss that sweet boy… and am sending him big virtual hugs. This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity!

I loved this house sit! Cosmo and Frankie were so well behaved and amazing animal companions. They were great to take on a hike and cuddle by the fire with. Fitz was the little gentleman and always looking for a lap to curl up in. The house was stunning and in a great location and Anne-Marie and Nikki were extremely kind, thorough and communicative. Would love to sit again!
Michael and Danielle are great! I had a blast caring for Gertrude, Charley, and Phoenix. The dogs are so calm and easy going. Michael and Danielle left easy to follow instructions for each dog. They were great to work with! The house is very clean and welcoming. I would definitely house/dog sit for them again! There’s so much to do around the area. I found myself hiking often and shopping at the outlet malls!
