You’d be hard pressed to find a more chilled dog than Purdy. We adored her as does her entire family and community. She’s an older lady so plenty of short walks rather than long ones is her preference. She was no bother at all and we loved taking her with us to several local cricket games, walks by the river and out to cafes and to Bolton Abbey. She walks easily on the lead and has no problem interacting with other dogs. She is very easy to Iove and care for and travelled well in the car. She can also be left at home alone without issue as she loves her home comforts but we rarely wanted to go anywhere without her! The town of Ilkley has lots of great cafes restaurants and shops with gourmet produce., the Moors on the doorstep and Wharfe River at the end of the yard there is something for everyone if you can tear yourself away from such a comfortable home and garden. The views from the backyard are truly spectacular especially with a full moon. The new veggie patch was fun to water and watch grow and pick produce from. We were very comfortable and made to feel welcome and at home from the first instance. Kirsty was very easy to communicate with and always available. It’s better if you have a car to get around as the house is about 7 mins down a country lane from Ilkley which adds to the fun of its location but you can walk, ride or taxi easily as well. This is a luxury sit and we are appreciative of the opportunity to return next month.
Absolutely loved our stay here - all of the animals are a pleasure to look after and stole our hearts! We were lucky with the weather so had some lovely time enjoying Sarah's beautiful garden with Pixie, Twinkle, Sparkle and Angel (the friendliest, most entertaining hen i've ever met!) happily sunning themselves alongside us. Highly recommend and would definitely return!
Phoebe is a sweet, cute, intelligent cat who was a ton of fun to hang out with. She is super easygoing, extremely clean, and very well trained. Leana and Yaron have a beautiful apartment in a great location with multiple subway lines nearby. I highly recommend them for your next stay!
Shadow is such a wonderful dog - so placid and loving. Meeting Susan was a delight; we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with her on the first night. Susan's hospitality made us feel right at home, and we could easily chat with her for hours. The house itself was a treat - situated in a beautiful location with stunning surroundings. Our weekend was thoroughly enjoyable, especially with Shadow's company. We were truly grateful for Susan's detailed communication, which made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, it was a lovely weekend in a charming spot, made even better by the presence of such a wonderful dog.
We had a wonderful time sitting Dan in Sue and David's paradise home. The casa and its surroundings are the most peaceful place we've been so far. The beautiful hills and valleys of this part of Andalusia and the town of Iznajar are definitely rewarding to explore. Sue and David are very communicative and friendly hosts. We had a great time getting to know each other on the first day. They showed us around, invited us for lunch and we had very pleasant conversations about history and culture. Dan, their talkative cat was very cuddly after we instantly became his newest 'slaves' for the time being. Highly recommended sit. Thanks David and Sue for having us!
It was an incredible experience staying with the sweetest dog Polo. It was a last minute sit that came together perfectly! Trista and Matt were a gem to work with and we really enjoyed our time at their lovely home. Being restaurant owners an added perk was a gift certificate to their amazing restaurant in Zions National Park. That was unexpected yet wonderful. MeMe's Cafe was delicious 😋 and we highly recommend. My husband said it was the best burger he has ever had. We would welcome an opportunity to stay with Polo anytime!
