We had a lovely time staying in Meopham,I know the area well but still found a few places I haven't visited. Jessie was an absolute joy to look after,we took her on her morning walk where she is clearly well known and we had lots of meet and greets with her doggy and human friends. She was very well behaved in restaurants and pubs and was happy to sit under the table. The two cats were making most of the good weather, but would chooe to come in for cuddles or sit near you outside.They were both in at night, and no bother. We walked Jessie on the lead in a local village and again she was very well behaved. We can't have asked for a more lovely sit and would love to sit for Jessie and the cats again.
I had a wonderful sit at Hilary's home with Aggie and would definitely recommend this sit to others. First of all I really enjoyed meeting Aggie. She was quite nervous when I first arrived so it took some time for her to get used to a stranger in her house, but once she become more comfortable she was actually very sweet and affectionate -- and very chatty! She particularly liked when you spent time with her outside, and it was really nice seeing her become more confident. Hilary's home is also very comfortable and lovely -- it is very close to the station and seems to get a lot of light. I particularly liked the outside lights which Hilary had set up outside, they were very cool. I would really recommend Frome as well -- I had spent a lot of time in Somerset but had never really heard much about it and I thought it was a bit of a hidden gem, really. It's a very attractive and quite unique town that's interesting to explore with a great variety of shops and things to do. Hilary was easy to communicate with, we had a video call beforehand to meet and talk through the sit. She left a particularly helpful welcome guide and also put sticky notes on things in the house to help navigate and give more information. I would definitely recommend this sit. Thank you very much for inviting me to spend time with Aggie, I think she is a lovely cat.
Alexis and Sean welcomed us into their home on the evening before they actually had to leave. They wanted to make the transition as seamless and as comfortable as possible. This really helped us get to know their wonderful dogs, as well. And also gave the dogs a chance to get to know us. Their home was set up perfectly for house-sitters. We had our own bedroom, of course, but they also made sure that we had a closet, and drawers for our clothes. It was very considerate. It's a great home, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Their three dogs are wonderful. They were friendly and fun, and really well-behaved. It was fantastic getting to learn their very different personalities. They had no trouble at all adjusting to new people in the home, and we loved playing with them, and cuddling up with them. The weather was very hot, and on some days we all enjoyed just hanging out in the cool living room, and even having an afternoon nap. We are going to miss those three characters, and we are so grateful that Alexis and Sean allowed us to care for them.
