This was the most wonderful pet sit! There aren't enough superlatives to describe it. Buddy the cat is adorable. He is a fly swatter extraordinaire and very curious. Whenever an item was put on a table/chair/kitchen top, he would be straight over to investigate. And if it was a bag, he would be straight inside. He loved lounging on the kitchen worktops and having a good brush as he is so fluffy. Bramble the rabbit is 10 years old and is the sweetest little thing. He is very friendly and liked being stroked and brushed. Pet parent Helen was so kind and welcoming and her communication was fabulous. Helen's home is stunning! Everything was so elegant, relaxing and classy. It was wonderful to be able to use the outdoor pool every day as we were blessed with hot weather. Thank you so much Helen for choosing us for this sit. Everything about it was incredible.
If you get the opportunity to sit for Janelle and John, consider yourself incredibly lucky. They are two of the kindest and most generous people I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know. They’re wonderful hosts, super hospitable, and very easy to communicate with. We overlapped for a handful of days and it was truly a pleasure sharing space and delicious home-cooked meals with them. Their home is a peaceful and deeply restorative place to spend time, perfectly clean, very well organized, and with quick and easy access to the seemingly endless trails in the nearby national forest. And then there are the animals! Their flock of chickens will make you laugh and supply you with fresh eggs, and their earth angel cat Resa will curl into your lap and just purr and purr. I loved everything about this sit and am deeply grateful for the experience. A million thanks to John and Janelle!
Allan and his wife are generous and kind. Their home is like a little oasis out in the country. Very clean and has anything you would need. Their pets have a blast running around the farm and living their best lives!
This house sit was something special! Even though it was for 2 weeks, it was the most amazing 2 weeks one could ask for. Sarah and JP are the most beautiful , most caring people you could ever meet. JP picked us up from Aviemore train station and drove us back to ‘Fleenasmore’ and we were blown away at the house, the pictures do not do it justice!! The house is just perfect, words cannot describe how amazing the house was. If you’re lucky enough to house sit for them, you Will understand straight away. Onto the girls, Lhotsi and Tilda. These two were the best of company, so well trained and just so relaxed the whole time, it was an absolute breeze caring for them. So friendly and always up for an adventure, and there are many to be had! Inverness is just over 30 mins away, with Loch Ness a bit further away. The lovely town of Nairn is only a 15 minute drive and has everything you could want from pubs, walks and groceries. The other nearby towns are just as beautiful to explore and the amount of history around this part of Scotland is just incredible, you’ll have your hands full! The Cairngorm National park is so close too so if you are keen on nature and just amazing scenery you will be in heaven. We could go on and on about how wonderful everything was but we will leave it there as I’m sure you get the point :) Sarah and JP thankyou so much for this opportunity and being so welcoming to us, we really will miss you two! But we will be seeing you soon , thats for sure. We wouldn’t miss that for the world . Also if you dont get the chance to house sit, they have a wonderful Air BnB which is called “The Piggery”, so maybe give that a search as this is a place not to be missed. Many many thanks! I had a wonderful experience babysitting Pige and Puzzles and the fishies and looking after Tina and Selwyn's amazing garden and conservatory, The kitties are super cute and friendly, especially Pige, and are pure joy to be around. They like to come up to check on you from time to time and get some cuddles. The garden is just beautiful, and a great pleasure to be in. The house is cozy and very comfortable, and is in great location. It's right next to a nature path on a quiet street, and a short walk to a couple of shopping areas, with a bus stop around the corner that takes you to Birmingham center. Tina and Selwyn are fantastic hosts. Thank you for having me!
