This was a lovely sit. Eleanor and her family are welcoming and relaxed, just good people that will make you feel at home. They have a beautiful house in an unbeatable location, within walking distance of both gorgeous Hamstead Heath and Candem High Street. I looked after Niko and Leo. It was my first contact with rats and they are so cute! And easy to look after too. This was a hugely enjoyable sit and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

My mother and I fell instantly in love with adorable Violet and we were so sad to leave her that my mother proposed taking her home with us. Violet is exceptionally easy to love, easy to care for, easy to have as a companion. Due to the extreme cold New York was experiencing while we were with Violet, we spent at most four or five hours away from her over the course of our stay and the rest of the time in her company, walking in lovely nearby Prospect Park together or cuddling at home. The few hours we were away from home without Violet we were shopping at one of the fabulous neighborhood's local markets and bakeries or eating at a corner cafe. Violet slept on the bed with me each night and our respective bodies' heat kept the other warm. She is an avid counter surfer and entertained my mother and me to no end with her efforts to reach anything and everything that could possibly be deemed edible -- we kept all food and drink out of her remarkable reach, though, thank goodness. Spencer and Shane's WiFi is reliable and fast, so I was able to work remotely from their comfortable home. My mother and I were impressed by Spencer and Shane's thoughtfully designed and decorated home, and by the way that every bit of it was clearly intentionally crafted. It was easy to relax and clear our minds in their home, with its nods to history and minimalism. We didn't get to know Shane very well, but we had the opportunity to visit a bit with Spencer and both my mother and I felt like we had met a kindred spirit in her. Thank you for allowing us to care for sweet, precious Violet and your beautiful home, Spencer and Shane!
Madeleine was a lovely host who I was very happy to sit for. She clearly adores her pets and after a few days looking after them I do too! Madeleine let me arrive a day early for the sit so that she could show me what to do and introduce me to Ruby and Luna, but she has a lockbox for the keys so was flexible about arrival and departure time. She is an excellent host and communication was very easy. Ruby and Luna are both very affectionate and a joy to look after. Luna goes out during the day so I saw less of him, but Ruby kept me company the whole time I was in the flat. Both animals can be left for a few hours so we fitted in an evening out in central London on the Saturday, but the rest of the time Ruby joined in with my and my boyfriend’s plans. We enjoyed walks along the canal and around all the green spaces on the flat’s doorstep, as well as a wander further afield to Broadway Market and even Oxford Circus. Ruby is very friendly with other humans and got lots of attention wherever we went. Madeleine’s flat is beautiful and has a well-equipped kitchen and a smart office, so working from home was easy. Her bedroom has a big, comfy bed and blackout blinds so it felt like staying in an arty hotel. I missed sharing my bed with Ruby and Luna when I got home, but hope I will be able to look after them again in the future. Thank you, Madeleine.
We loved our time with Apollo this January. What a cat!!!! I fell deeply in love with him and we spent a LOT of time cuddling. Ariana's apartment is comfortable and decorated in a lovely way. I would love to get a chance to share love with Apollo again in that comfortable setting. Also, Ariana was amazing. Other than the 8 inches of snow and about an inch of ice, it was a dream sit. We were blessed to keep electricity and had a safe warm place to settle in. I actually was happy about the snow, btw.
staying with 'the beast' was an absolute pleasure. he's friendly, warm and playful, and very smart. very easy to care for and lovely company. Andrews home is comfortable and the view is amazing, communication was prompt and this was one of my fav sits l!
