They say you can't have too much of a good thing and this sit proves it. We spent 3 months with Dilys and Coco in Lymington and have already arranged to go back again later this year! Both cats are a dream to look after. They are really independent and although they were a bit unsure of us for the first few days, they eventually began to tolerate us and eventually we won them over with a steady supply of Dreamies and continual shooing away of a local Siamese cat they hate 😂 Although they don’t tend to sit on your lap, Dilys really loves being picked up and enjoys attention. Coco enjoys...sleeping, mainly. She wants to be in the same room as you but pretends otherwise. We took it as a sign of trust that eventually she was sleeping on our bed every night, and she doesn't move a muscle. They’re such characters, we feel truly lucky that we got to spend the last few months with them. We’ve only just left and already missing them. It was fantastic to meet Suzanne and Stephen before the sit started when they showed us the ropes. It was like seeing 2 friends as they made us feel so welcome. It was their first time having sitters but they are the perfect people to sit for. They did a really clear and helpful handover with us, showing us all we would need to know. Communication has been brilliant and all of our daft queries answered without delay. We’ve really enjoyed our WhatsApp group where it has felt like chatting with friends. The house is super comfortable, modern and stylish and has everything you would need for a stay. They have great taste and have made a lovely home. It’s also 2 mins walk into town and also to the beautiful harbour and nature reserve where we enjoyed lots of long walks, cycles and bird watching. There’s an M&S, Waitrose and Tesco very close by, plus trains to Southampton and on to London etc. The town is really pretty and has lots of amenities. We recommend the Tinker's Granddaughter for plant based food. There's also Offbeet in the New Forest which we rate. It's a gorgeous part of the UK, right by the Solent but also in the New Forest. Perfect if you like walking and nature. But you're also about 40 mins drive to either Southampton or Bournemouth. We can’t say enough good things about this sit. If you ever have the opportunity to look after the girls, our advice is to jump at the chance! Thanks again for having us and we look forward to seeing you again at the end of 2023!
We have just completed a delightful two week sit for Andrew and Nina at their beautiful home in the Peak District. We cared for their two gorgeous ginger cat brothers Kasper and Lykke, and two young chickens who were very friendly. We watered their very productive flower and vegetable garden, and enjoyed some of the produce as it became ready. Kasper is very chatty, and they both love a cuddle. It was our first visit to the area, and we so enjoyed our visits to the various Stately Homes and N.T. properties that it has to offer. We would highly recommend this sit to those who would enjoy any of the above, and in particular....cyclists, walkers and country lovers in general. Thank you for the gorgeous meal that we were given on arrival Nina, and Kasper and Lykke...big kisses. xx
We were delighted that Susan & Dominic asked us to sit for them, in their thatched cottage in Hamble-le-Rice. They’re a really friendly family, and immediately made us feel welcome and at home. Their house is very spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace in the evening sunshine, watching the boats sailing by. And the local Co-op was always very well stocked if we ran out of anything. Their young spaniel Mickey was a joy - he was very rewarding company and so comical, he always behaved really well, and we had a great time walking with him along the gorgeous river and coastline, which is all literally minutes from the house. Their cats Camo and Tinkerball are both very affectionate and talkative, and so easy to look after. There’s nothing not to like about sitting for this easy going family and their pets, so thank you from the both of us, for making our stay such a happy experience! Pamela & Paul
Donald and Martina were fantastic, welcoming hosts. Their house is in a beautiful part of Glasgow, near the Kelvin River and great western road. Poppy is a lovely wee dog and we had great time exploring the neighbourhood and nearby canals and cycle tracks. They even brought us back a delicious local salami from Italy!
We had a wonderful time with Aero and Taffy. They are the cutest, most affectionate and very well trained dogs. Melanie was a lovely host, very good comunicator, the house is perfect with everything you would need, in a great location with shops, parks and the tube nearby. It was our first sit, thank you Melanie for trusting us, it was the best experience we could have. And for Aero and Taffy, they grew very close to our hearts, we will miss them a lot! We would stay again without any hesitation!
Laura and Gordi made us very welcome in their lovely and comfortable apartment. Their home had all the facilities that we needed along with beautiful views from the balcony to the river and a bbq too. The location had easy access to supermarkets and good transport to the centre of Lyon Gaba was a pleasure to look after, we all enjoyed playtimes and he kept me company while I worked. We would happily recommend this sit.
